“The workhorse”.The characteristics of this approach in its current form include drilling the sphenoid wing as far down as the superior orbital fissure with or without removal of the anterior clinoid, thinning the orbital roof, and opening the Sylvian fissure and basal cisterns.

The trans-sulcal dissection is a safe and effective approach. Through which it is possible to reach deeply seated lesions. It preserves the motor functions, provides a larger field of view, minimizes the need of brain retraction during surgery, and keeps the gyral layers intact.

The Sylvian fissure Is the fissure that divides the temporal lobe from the parietal and frontal lobes. The ability to dissect Sylvian fissures is crucial in microneurosurgery. A favorable prognosis requires the sylvian fissure to be opened safely and precisely.

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is a surgery to remove a herniated or degenerative disc in the neck. An incision is made in the throat area to reach and remove the disc. A graft is inserted to fuse together the bones above and below the disc.
