Apparent Scopoli’s Shearwater from yesterday evening’s pelagic with @scillypelagics . Would’ve preferred to have noticed it out in the field but beggars can’t be choosers, insane week so far! Thanks to Bob Flood for opinions on the ID.

Adult male Golden Eagle with a buzzard identity crisis in the Scottish Highlands. It was hopping up to rabbit burrows shortly after this.

Good god, I can’t believe I actually saw the Black-browed Albatross today after having several soul crushing dips. Flew within 8 ft of our faces initially and put on a great show for 15 mins. Never been so happy to see a bird!! Couldn’t have done it without @NathanielDargue

An evening dreams are made of!!! Almost ditched my car in a hedge when the Gull-billed Tern flew metres past me when checking the fields at Bassingfield, after @Alan_HP_Notts briefly had it at Holme Pierrepont. Still shaking! Back at Holme Pierrepont now (20:50pm)

Practically a colony of Caspian Gulls at Cromer yesterday with these 8 juveniles, often there were 4-5 sat next to each other! I would guess most of these were born in the Netherlands (‘XM3X’ definitely was), some real classic looking birds here.

The spotty Spotted Sandpiper at Elton Reservoir was showing really nicely this evening with a bit of patience. I try not to bunk off Uni work during the week but how could I not with this nearby?! Another successful public transport twitch too.
