Aerith is canonically the *first person* to realize Cloud isn’t his true self. She protects him & T in the LS & watches over him in AC. She’s known real Cloud for a long time, has intuited his true self for even longer. Her death didn’t stop her from seeing & finding him.

Y’all can we please acknowledge that the kiss scene WAS a kiss. 😅 It was very clearly meant to imply it was on the lips & not on the cheek. They used shortcuts to avoid animating it because 1) it’s very hard to animate in-engine & 2) they’re not gonna CGI an optional scene.
