If not for my next cdr, who invested in me personally and essentially resurrected my career, I would have been an outlier for LTC and not competitive at all for BN Command. I think about that every time I see a thread on evals and taking care of Soldiers. Take care of your folks.

Iraq, 2005. This was the first time I’d ever been in a DFAC on one of the super-FOBs. My company was in Yusufiyah. My PLT lived in a former IP station that had been blown up by a VBIED. For some reason, I had to make a run to one of the big FOBs. Maybe Victory or Anaconda?

Presentation complete. And with it, my last major requirement before graduation. Strong panel with a lot of good discussion about Hezbollah and Hamas. I was a bit lazy with my title; it’s really more like strengthening Lebanon to weaken and marginalize Hezbollah.
