I miss Pakistani doctors every time I have to go to a doctor. I have reallyyy good health insurance, I am literally in Baltimore the health center of the US. I go to Hopkins, which houses one of the best med schools in the country, even then I miss Pakistan in this aspect.

One thing I loveeee about Americans is how early they rise. It’s 8am. I’m at Baltimore airport and it’s buzzingggg. All the restaurants at the airport are open, functional and filled to the brim.

It’s interesting that our Finance Minister is a Bank president because banks are considered intermediaries in asymmetric information. One of their many roles is to mitigate risk associated with asymmetric information by financial intermediation. E.g. giving loans.

One of the reasons for our underdevelopment is the fact that we are a low trust society, which means it’s hard for us to go beyond family and friends networks. A better law and order situation, contract enforcement etc etc would help us move beyond limiting networks.

I love how Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Yatra was a success. People were continuously bleating against it. That's such a great, unique idea to cut against nepo baby accusation. Pakistan desperately needs fresh thinking like that. Maryam and Bilawal need to take note.
