I’m a wicked nice person. I stand for justice, truth, racial equality and LGBTQ rights 🌈 Sometimes I post risqué photos of myself. I’m addicted to cooking.
This is for those who appreciate lasagna. I used the lasagna sheets, beautiful ricotta, and fresh mozzarella that I bought at the Italian market. Using my homemade sauce. If you’re going to be rude just don’t.
Am I just stupid or was charcuterie not really a thing until the past few years? Like when I was a kid my mom put out Italian meats and cheeses and called it antipasto.Nobody ever called it charcuterie.
I made Tourtière. It is a French Canadian meat pie. Originating from Quebec. Sometimes served with a gravy but usually served as is. It’s a good winter meal. I layered it because I’m extra like that.
Steak pinwheels with garlic, spinach and aged provolone. Hasselback potatoes with garlic butter and cheddar. The combination of flavors works beautifully.
I made a margarita pizza. Vine ripened tomatoes, fresh garlic, evoo, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Homemade crust that is a little crispy and chewy.
I made my first ever cinnamon swirl bread. Not great but not terrible. I’ll have to keep working at it until I get as perfect as possible. The flavor is really good. It makes really nice toast.
Croque Monsieur. Not very photogenic but absolutely delicious. Smoked ham, béchamel, Swiss and gruyere on sourdough. Smokey, creamy and crispy. Served with mesclun greens and vinaigrette.
Hello my name is Rose and I love to cook. I’m not vegan or a vegetarian. If you are, that is fantastic for you. You don’t need to make rude and nasty comments on my food tweets. I’m sick of always getting trolled by vegans and vegetarians on my tweets. You do you and I’ll do me.
This probably won’t get any traction. But I’m not ready to go back to “normal” life. I didn’t mind quarantine. I didn’t mind social distancing. I don’t mind wearing a mask. Does anyone else agree with me or am I just weird?
I tried a new meatball recipe today. Definitely going to keep this one. Spaghetti and meatballs, meatball subs. Meatball lasagna or just plain like they are.
On the way back from brunch I stopped at my favorite cannoli place. Everything is completely homemade and is spectacular. Oh and I got a lobster tail too.
I made Arancini. eh•ruhn•see•née
Well, I made risotto so I could make arancini. One of my favorite Italian foods. They are stuffed with fresh mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano.
Orange chicken made with fresh squeezed orange juice, ginger, garlic, and other delicious ingredients. Served over cilantro lime rice. Better than any take out.
Okay so this might not be attractive. But… think layers of ricotta, spinach, and fresh mozzarella with crushed garlic throughout. Don’t judge a book by its cover 😉
It’s been cold and rainy all day and I have been baking. I just made the most amazing rosemary, garlic, pull apart bread. I also put some Parmigiano-Reggiano in it to bring it over the top. Wow is all I can say.
I made grilled Hawaiian pork loin with fresh pineapple. Parmesan polenta. Garlic green beans. Grilled fresh pineapple for the sweet. All together a beautiful bite.
Garlic lemon pork medallions over puréed cauliflower with butter and garlic. I haven’t prepared cauliflower this way before. It has the consistency of mashed potatoes. Not much to look at but it’s a delicious meal.
I think you might like my cranberry orange scones with orange zest glaze. A bit crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Better than Starbucks.
I made these little Asian inspired meat pies. Flavored with fresh ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce and caramelized onions. They are flaky, crispy, soft and savory. A perfect little snack.
I think chicken tenders might be one of the best things that I make. Super crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. Served with homeade honey mustard.
I have reached the huge milestone of 20K followers! I am humbled and grateful for all of you. Thank you so much for sticking with me and for connecting with me. I made a mini coconut cake to celebrate!
Sometimes I don’t cook. Garlic crackers with pear jam, cheddar and prosciutto and cranberry and orange goat cheese and a glass of oaked Chardonnay. It’s enough.
I made a deliciously moist and fluffy caramel apple upside down cake. I used Granny Smith and honey crisp apples. Sweet notes of cinnamon and caramel and sweet, tart apples.
Tonight I made porterhouse pork chops with an apple cranberry sage stuffing. Topped with an apple cider Demi-glace. Rose potatoes and broccoli rabe with lemon and garlic.
