@js_tut I sorta agree & disagree on this one. A beginner should learn to differentiate things that are one-off & ones that are not. It's good to memorize (happens by itself anyway) few patterns & tricks that are very common & useful. But yeah, problem-solving is the key skill.

5. Most of the 10x engineers are full-stack engineers. For them code is code, they don't care whether it is front-end, back-end, API, database, serverless, etc. I have rarely seen them doing UI work.

@gauravsabnis In fact, over time I have realised in India we don’t provide proper cleaning equipment and chemical agents to our cleaning staff. We just give them a broom, a wiper, 2 agents and few rags to clean it “all”. And this applies to even “posh” households.

@amishra31 @sliceit_ I tried the whole bunch because credit cards are “so useful”! Uninstalled it immediately. Why? Another abuse is how these apps want complete access of your messages & contacts. & even your email. Being a dev, I know what permissions mean but it’s a trap that many overlook.

3 random limits that make no sense! 🥲🤦 1. YouTube's Watch Later has an upper limit of 5K videos 2. Daily transaction limit for UPI is 1L 3. PhonePe txn history goes back only 15 months or so. Why?

today, I switched to a custom built @Lenovo Thinkpad E14 with 10th gen i7 & 16 Gigs of RAM running @ubuntu from my "2019" Macbook Air. and I am sooooo happy with the migrations @Apple SUCKS!

Avoided Amsterdam #Schiphol whole summer having missed a flight in April. Even took a train to Berlin. 🥲 Today, Reached at 11 AM by 🚂 Security. Check in & immigration done by 11:45. Time taken to gate = 45 min. 👏 Now 3 hours of waiting flight. 😅

I am now absolutely convinced that VCs have an internal bet on who can burn their GPs money the fastest. 🤷‍♂️ Having seen Adam Neumann, SBF and now Elon musk. There seems to be no other reasonable explanation behind their decision to fund this destruction of value.
