Oppenheimer lived up to the hype, super amazing film. The all star cast is epic & phenomenal, and it actually kind of was a horror movie imo for how well it depicts human nature around power & politics. The womanizer aspect of Dr. Oppenheimer felt forced and jammed in, but thats

Ultra excited for

at King Edward Medical University. This is something I've envisioned for years and is a huge moment for our entire team and family. The vision I set out on is now going to revolutionize the lives of KEMU's future doctors as well.

The older I get, it becomes more & more clear by the day that people will say whatever, and those words carry no weight because talking is free or cheap. Personally or professionally, what actions & steps a person takes is the real deal. Way more hard & valuable.
maybe i've gotten used to it which is crushingly depressing, but it seems people will just be with you and use you for their benefit until it no longer suits them. people talk about how important communication is, but how many people are genuine with it personally/professionally?
And after all my life had passed, I would remember the pain, suffering and sorrow, but also the happiness, glory and satisfaction, and I will say: Thank you, thank you for everything, because the life you gave me is unique, and I would live it over and over and over again.
We just hit 49,000+ users who are part of the
@med_angle
community. The past few months have been full of immensely tough but important hard work for our platform, and recently we've deployed some huge behind the scenes updates that will supercharge our mission and vision. 🚀📈

We've had so many new applicants come in for the

team in our second ever official application cycle we're having to build new technology to help be more effective in our process. Applicant caliber & quality is way up compared to last time, which was top to begin with.
@Adeel_A_Sham
Yup. This. We've been working on revolutionizing medical education in Pakistan at
@med_angle
since 2017 and one of the biggest obstacles we've faced is a mentality issue where people insist on staying within their own gardens when creating an ecosystem is better off for everyone.
i get it. My grandmother passed away during my 1st year exams and her dream was to see me graduate & stand proud in a white coat as a doctor. Losing someone and the pain associated with it never fully goes away. I'd like to think she'd be proud of me today. Sorry for your loss.
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and tell my Nano that I got admission in medical college one month after she left us. I want to tell her that I'm becoming a doctor. All her life she prayed for this and I couldn't tell her.
If you truly & sincerely want something, you will find a way, no matter how long it takes, how unsafe it might feel, or how difficult it will be. It is never too late no matter what your mind or heart tells you.
This isn’t just me announcing that I’ve matched into

I've heard so much nonsense from ignorant minds & 3rd parties about how I'm wasting my time / how we won't be able to revolutionize medical education. Or just plain stupidity about how I'm parading around wasting my dad or brothers money. (I'm not lol - we're bootstrapped)
@ahmadzzafar
Best of luck Ahmad! It's been a pleasure having you work with

since your early days at AKU and having you be part of our revolutionary vision for medical education. I know you'll go on to do really well and accomplish awesome things.

is lucky indeed.
I can't believe that people are already tweeting about "What about Black Panther 2" -- humans are so inherently selfish it's unreal. The minute you die, or stop being academically, financially, sexually, or socially viable.. people start questioning what you meant for them.
20,000,000. 20 Million. Wow. More than half of these took place in the last year alone, and it goes to show more & more of our future doctors & grads are joining our revolutionary community as supporters & customers. This is just the start, I promise.
Incredibly excited to share that we now have over twenty million Questions Solved on MedAngle!

Surprised someone as prolific as
@ylecun
doesn't realize the potential implications of such technology. Something to be said for responsible innovation, but we probably won't see too much of that given the wild-west nature of the AI race right now.
Saw this earlier today, thought it was striking. I started writing code when I was 7, and I remember the wait for dial up internet, and how over time things (especially in technology) became faster and faster, and now in 2024 everyone wants everything immediately. Now, this is,
No joke, some of the stuff that I've experienced with the team and personally especially v recently is heavy. People that are doctors doing evil things not only in Sindh, but KPK & Punjab as well to us or those close to us. Betrayal, cheating, gaslighting, alliances, dishonesty.
Some victims will rationalize and deny things or take it upon themselves, but this is the truth. The definitions are clear on what assault is, rape is and what a rapist is. We need to teach our *SONS* AND *DAUGHTERS* about what consent is from a young age.
I'm someone who's extremely and viciously self-critical for the purpose of improvement and I'm quite proud of the historic progress that I personally made in the past two days of all-nighters. I literally architected, designed & engineered systems that would take others half yr+

To add a bit more context, I travel across most of Pakistan visiting various medical schools, and in each city that I go to (KHI, ISB, LHR, RWP, KP etc) usually befriend local drivers and hang out with them and get to know them on our journeys. However, this gentleman went truly

I really question people who live their life according to social media content platitudes. Thinking for yourself is the only thing that matters, regardless of whether it’s on elections, relationships, marriage, school, friendship or anything really. Your life, not social medias.

I once killed a $125 million deal by being “too honest.” There are many ways to lose deals, lest you think last week’s story was my only painful blunder. This one hinged on a fateful encounter with Jerry Yang and involved Paul Graham (
@paulg
). Here’s what happened.... (1/n)
Surprised this is considered as “solved” (it’s not) — most people in the world don’t bother to look past the face value and explore the history or context. Dangerous kind of confidence, especially at scale in the age of misinformation.
I think any person who's insane and ambitious enough to become a founder and undergo the journey of creating a startup has to be very comfortable with this fact and then understand it more deeply each day that many won't. Just gotta have oceanic ambition, patience, and drive. 🚀

Just when you think something can't get worse, it always can and way more, very quickly..
In recent times, when I've presented
@med_angle
to admins, investors, judges, industry experts, etc, and said that I'm both the CEO & CTO, I think in 99.99% of cases I've gotten skepticism. And I get why. Doing this as a medical student is anomalous.. never been done before. 1/2
@Asad_Ke25
Depends on how you look at it. AKU & Shifa has 100 per batch as compared to ~350 at KE, DOW, SMC etc. There are smart and hard working people everywhere. The alumni network of KE is also quite strong (kudos) and that plays a big part. End of the day, it's one's own hard work.
This has been worded so eloquently. We all know people who are pursuing these fields not because its their passion or calling, but because of the economics or prestige. My only appeal is to respect all fields the same, as healthcare is a vast spectrum of teamwork & collaboration.
Don’t tell me you were all born to become cardiologists, gastroenterologists, and pulmonary/critical physicians. Stop viewing non-interventional medical fields as lower paying, inferior specialties. There is no place for elitism in medicine. (1/9)
@ManahilAkmal
as lame as it may sound, i think i believe in love itself, no longer personally for me. there are so many bad people out there but some goodness out there too. i think love is helping the needy, speaking well of others, trying to make efforts to change things, and so forth.
it’s the ones that are closest to you that can do the most damage. whether it’s personal, family, work.. make sure the fit is genuine against everything.
@hussnain_27

Definitely. This is a hard problem to solve and should be tackled from the first day of medical school from what people have told me over the years. Everything else comes later.
