Yesterday a 23 year old told me that he's hesitant to start coding because he will never be as good as someone who started at 12. While that's probably true in a lot of cases, the bottleneck for becoming a better engineer stops being time after a couple of years of practice.

Chat is often not the best way to interact with AI. Instead, AI should feel like a collaborator in your editor. Announcing major improvements to @Replit Ghostwriter, where it is natively integrated into your editor while letting you follow up in Chat. Here is editing code:

Obligatory tweet every time I interface with anything built @ Microsoft. Tasteless software. If you're a fan of Microsoft, you're probably a cu*k. Their whole "we changed! we <3 open-source" thing is fake news. EEE is in their DNA.

My family did a similar walk not long ago. And after we leave, they come after us elsewhere to continue to dehumanize us and steal from us. Last time 50% of our population was expelled and 100% of property was dispossessed (from individuals and officials). Then they came after

I suspect the likes of Jackson Hinkle are controlled opposition. They tweet stuff like this which associates the plight of the Palestinians with controversial figures, and muddies the water by bringing up legitimate claims about Zionist and mixing them with discredited narratives

My goal this year is to have hundreds of people do this on Replit, and make it a no-brainer for this persona to use Replit end-to-end.

I tried to recruit hatem to come work with us on Replit, but being a doctor is his calling. Pretty amazing to see someone that's skilled in 2 extremely high impact skills that require 10,000 hours+ of practice

Interesting, Amjad's first products were games he made for me to play. This type of personalized software is what Replit is about today.

I didn’t expect being a parent will require making so much software but there is so much garbage out there when you’re trying to find simple educational games.

I think one of the most powerful tools employers can give their employees is the freedom to checkout when they're feeling unproductive being taxed. It pays back for itself in a couple of days.

Sometimes I like to think about how dead I would be without modern life. Sprain my ankle, can't climb trees away from predators, dead.

Sickening, Israeli occupying forces make me sick to my stomach. This is their peace. Guess what they found in their house? Nothing, they don't even bother to make something up. No one holds the almighty Israel accountable. We only hold people in concentration camps accountable.

Israeli forces searched Mahmoud's home as his father called an ambulance. Israeli soldiers searched the paramedics and prevented them from reaching Mahmoud for about 40 minutes. The ambulance brought Mahmoud to Al-Razi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 1 a.m.

Bytedance has a crawler that can't parse even 2016 JavaScript. It also doesn't respect robots.txt and just tries to crawl random pages. It's super aggro and hits websites way too often. If you try to block the "ByteSpyder" user agent, it starts using random user agents.
