click the link for an update regarding c3 highlights videos, but long story short - i will no longer be making them. i know a lot of you really love the videos and i hope you can understand how difficult this decision was for me. thank you for your support
travis in 2012: dungeons and dragons? i don’t know how i feel about that nerdy shit
travis in 2022: confidently roleplaying as a bird detective in front of thousands in the spin off to his dungeons and dragons show of which he is the CEO
watching sam cry on stream because he had to use his 9th level spell on counterspell instead of a wish for vax is one of the most emotional critical role moments of all time
obsessed with the way travis simply heard laura breathing and snapped to attention because he KNEW some shit was about to go down

"critical role," more like "reacting to marisha ray and her insanely good acting and roleplaying skills, the show"

when liam rolls the second death saving throw nat 20 and everyone loses their minds taliesin's just sitting there pointing at the die like "yeah. look at it. bitch"
saying “i couldn’t stand keyleth during the actual campaign but i love her in the legend of vox machina!!!” is not the positive uplifting compliment that you think it is
it's been said a million times but it's still SO funny to me how sam will just be sitting there dressed like this and no one even acknowledges it. like imagine being a new cr viewer and seeing this and not a single cast member comments on it ONCE? i'd think i was losing my mind
erika randomly rolling dice during imogen and laudna's conversation, texting matt, matt looking at something on his dm screen, and texting back?? what are they up to!!!
can't believe there was a new episode of my favorite show last night. it's called The Ashley Johnson Watches and Reacts to Beauregard Lionett Show

some of the best moments in c2 are when caduceus says something that rattles beau's entire belief system and she just kind of sits there dealing with that while everyone else moves on
emily axford rolling up to the critical role table, getting like 5 natural 20s and a hdywtdt with a character who has never seen battle before, then asking matt "am i allowed to have cigarettes" is the funniest/most badass character intro we've ever seen

laura did not spend years getting ridiculed as vex to have travis get away with THIS

the experience of starting c1 now must be so funny. you've heard that keyleth is this super powerful, highly-regarded leader, only to see her in action & realize she has the charisma of a piece of seaweed and is constantly flustered, getting drunk, or having an existential crisis
the year is 2032. it's campaign 6 of critical role. sam riegel has to wear 7 different shirts in each episode in order to keep up with his shirt bit. no one even acknowledges the shirts anymore but he keeps going. he will not give up the bit
i love how the cr cast immediately yells INSIGHT CHECK when they don't believe someone. and at one point matt tried to be like "you can just say 'do i believe them?' and i will ask you to make an insight check'" but they still just continue to yell INSIGHT CHECK to this day
"nothing to see here! just me, protecting caleb! that's all. just protecting my friend caleb. poor little fragile caleb!" - yasha throughout the entirety of the aeor arc
i felt like i was being gaslit when sam said there was a running b-plot in his quip ads where he was slowly turning into a sunflower so i went and checked. apparently "slowly turning into a sunflower" means the flowers in your pocket slowly get larger until they consume your head
an in progress list of random things matthew mercer hates:
- the grandpa from charlie and the chocolate factory
- the tootsie pop owl
- vince mcmahon
- the concept of alpha/beta wolf dynamics and its scientific falsehoods
this is the most important thing that has ever happened on critical role and ashley doing the full lap of the table will never not make me laugh. it's just so visually silly
critical role not putting marisha in the cast of their new mystery solving show because they know she’s the Number One Mystery Solver and would solve every mystery within ten minutes and then there would be no more mystery to solve
travis in c1: i am ashley’s best friend
travis in c2: i am marisha’s best friend
travis in c3: i am a variety of old men that ashley and marisha choose to harass and/or terrify
