@JessPected I disagree with the notion that rape strips women of their femininity or motherhood or softness...as if that's all a girl or woman has to lose that matters. Rape takes away so much more than that and it pisses me off that no one else seems to mention that.

@ask_aubry This is the problem with making simple blanket statements. I've heard stories of women who've found out their partner had taken the condom off or lied about having had a vasectomy etc. So often the choice isn't available to women.

@ask_aubry She needs to see a doctor. Heavy bleeding, extreme pain & long-lasting period symptoms can be a sign of cysts or endometriosis. Also, heavy bleeding can lead to anemia and it can take 10+ years to work it out the cause. The doc will also explain sex ed.

@ask_aubry There's nothing inappropriate about warning her daughter about predators. The talk she had was 100% necessary given that her father's family isn't at all concerned about the child's welfare. She used public info to protect her daughter from a dangerous man.

@ask_aubry The indigenous Australians have the oldest continuous living culture in the world, about 60,000 years old. When I was in school we visited a sacred spot for the local tribe/mob where the women would go to menstruate and give birth. Pretty sure that's not recent toxicity.

It's with great heartache that I have to say Stretch was put to sleep today after her arthritis got so bad she could barely walk. She stuffed her belly full of veggies on her way to the vet and went peacefully. Her friendly little brown nose will be missed. #guineapig #cavy #OTRB

Emma update! She's not even trying to eat anymore and it's taking 2 hours just to feed her 10ml of Critical Care. The wonderful woman who I adopt from has a chin sling we're going to try on her tomorrow. But it's not looking good, Em is giving up. 😥

Panda update, my exotics vet found that she had something going on in her lungs & her kidneys were failing. We decided it would be best to put her to sleep. She's no longer in pain. We're pretty devastated. #guineapig #cavy

Emma update! Emma is doing much better, her pneumonia seems to have almost gone away. Her heart medications are helping and her breathing is much better. She's eating well and more or less back to normal she is sleeping a bit more but that's all. #guineapig #cavy #pets

Panda update! My vet had a look at her skin flakes & a skin scraping and found no infection of any kind. He thinks it's just her skin shedding all at once likely due to the lack of hair & hormonal upset of the cysts. #guineapig #cavy #pets

@ask_aubry I had a similar "convo" with a guy I dated. He thought women should be the property of men because his single mum was somehow to blame for his father walking out of them. He was convinced if she was his property his dad wouldn't have left. I dumped him.
