I can’t stop thinking about how great my L&D nurse was during my delivery. When I went from 5-10cm in under an hour it was sort of panicking because I felt the need to push IMMEDIATELY and the on call OB was in the OR. So when the nurse called they told her to have me WAIT

I’m not finished, but I’ve been working on turning our closet into a nursery nook for Vivian. We definitely don’t have a lot of space in this house with all 3 kids, but I’ll always make it as cozy as I can for my babies.

When I was a FTM I felt like I could never leave the house anywhere unless my diaper bag was fully stocked for ANYTHING. Now, I leave with the kids empty handed but their water cup/a snack and just roll the dice lmao

Like her voice and words were the only one in that room at the time getting me through it. I feel like my whole induction experience was as great as it was solely because of her. The world needs more L&D nurses like her.🥹

The Dr ended up walking in shortly after, but I was so relieved by my nurse handling everything on her own the way she was. Even through pushing I was completely dissociated to everyone including my husband/mom because my nurse was coaching me through it so well.

And my nurse just goes “No absolutely not, she is ready to push wether he makes it to the room or not.” And hangs up. She then starts grabbing things to prep the room and goes “If you feel like you can’t hold your need to push you tell me, and we will push and get this baby out.”
