Eight years ago today, on February 22, 2012, the Assad regime assassinated American journalist Marie Colvin & French photographer Rémi Ochlik in a targeted attack in Homs, Syria. They were, at the time, working to share the stories of Syrian civilians living under siege in Homs.

Six yrs ago today, on February 10, 2015, three young Muslims--23 yr old Deah Barakat, 21 yr old Yusor Abu-Salha, and 19 yr old Razan Abu-Salha--were shot to death in their home, in a hate crime that came to be known as the Chapel Hill Shooting. Thinking of their loved ones today.
