Dynamic Digital Radiography (DDR) allows you to observe movement like never before. This novel low-dose X-ray imaging technique enables visualization of anatomy in motion.
3D Animation is a wild career.
You can have animated the Hulkbuster in an Avengers movie and then apply to a small studio doing kids shows who's like:
"We don't think you're qualified to animate Mr. Snuffles in Grumpytown StoryTime for tv we're going with stronger candidates."
For the benefit of new students looking to be job-ready and getting their studies detailed by memes, I’ve used Blender to animate at ZERO of the studios I’ve worked at.
My first real Blender animation!
Thanks to everyone for the technical help the last two weeks.
I'd like to make a course for Maya animators to make for a smoother transition for anyone interested, register here:

Speaking to an animator recently discussing everyone’s project they disliked working on the most, due to the conditions of it, etc. and one persons was Across the Spiderverse. A movie everyone is loving right now was the one they hated working on the most. Just food for thought.
3) The "best" film may be an absolute nightmare to work on and the "lame" film may be a joy that catapults your skills to the next level.
Build your career around the relationships you forge and the artistic journey you take. Choosing a gig based on prestige alone is a trap.
Anyone interested in SD, another policy they have is zero outside work.
I’ve never seen this extreme of a policy.
They wanted me to stop teaching so I had to decline their offer.
🆕 For newer animators, there's a tendency to want the rig to animate for you.
👟 Using attributes like the foot roll, we just want it to "work." But it takes a bit more attention to detail, especially for foot push offs.
🌟 TLDR: Make sure the toe is not lifted during push-off.
This is huge news from

about Maya. They're going to offer the Indie license worldwide now! Basically what used to cost 1-month will get you an entire year of Maya:

It’s never too late! I’ll even make a mini-tutorial later tonight and post it to this thread for everyone to see how I made this in a couple minutes :)
🎾 What do you notice in this video?
Tennis balls can not only squash, but that squash can cause friction, which causes something else to happen in the video... It's important in animation to study these cause/effect relationships to motivate believable decisions in our anims
If you see a helicopter in this movie there’s about a 33% chance I animated it. One fun full cg shot too, wondering if people will be able to spot it ;)

🤡 Study cartoony animation with Hotel Transylvania animator Jason Behr as he creates this animation and provides context in one of the 12 weeks of lessons in the Intermediate course:
Blender... rotating multiple controls at once: why does it rotate based on the average center of everything selected!?
I can't find an orientation mode that just rotates based on each control's pivot, what other settings are there to fix this? Thanks for the help!

1) Scope creep:
Keep your ideas manageable so your shot is as successful as it can be for your skill level with a slight challenge. Start small, build bigger as you go (bigger can mean more subtle too). This goes for length of shot as well as amount within the shot.
I almost died 10 years ago.
This week's new AJ Podcast I discuss my journey into animation that includes overcoming debt, divorce, and cancer for me to switch careers:
