An incredibly important book on the history of the German Revolution has just been published in English by Brill. A deep study of the council movement that surpasses both reactionary and leninist/stalinist historiography and rightly admits a greater role to the council movement.

Today, Pannekoek died in 1960. One of the most underrated Marxists, coming from the second international, who was - unrecognized - the forerunner of an unorthodox open Marxist critique which others did not get to until much later. He was ahead of his time on many fields.
