I have seen some Blairite types saying that Lula's victory, having 'moderated his message' & campaigned to represent 'all Brazilians', is a vindication of centre-ground politics. It's the exact opposite. Lula squandered a double-digit poll lead through tacking to the right. 1/3

You’ve gotta feel for Paul Mason. Nobody has ratted on the left harder, stanned for western imperialism more enthusiastically, nor made excuses for Starmer’s neo-Blairism with greater elan. But for the current leadership, he will always carry the taint of having backed Corbyn.

Every time Blair, Blunkett or Mandelson open their mouths I remember why I find Blairites more hateful than Tories. Tories are class enemies who openly serve capital. Blairites serve capital by leaning on the Labour movement: doing it in the name of the organised working class.

@LBC @AndrewMarr9 @Keir_Starmer Funny Starmer cites 2021 conference as evidence that members are behind him. I was there. I was an elected delegate. I was expelled two days beforehand on trumped up charges, as were many other lefts. Still snuck in and spoke though 😉
