This is incorrect news. The rates for the meals, i.e., Rs 5 for breakfast, Rs 10 each for lunch and dinner fixed in 2017 remain same. Today the Cabinet approved increase in the cost of a day’s 3 meals from Rs 57 to Rs 62. The Government will pay the increased cost not consumer.

Visited Gokarna. The GP has done phenomenal work to clean up the town. Storm water drains that were clogged for 50 years have been de-silted & water-logging problem around the iconic Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple has been solved. Excellent leadership by ZP CEO Mohammed Roshan.

Contour trenches in hilly area of Doddularathi GP, Chellakere tq, Chitradurga. 6500 trenches have been excavated, 3000 plants have been planted. (Neem, Mahagani, Rain Tree, Banyan tree, peepal) 19.5 million litres of water will be harvested in these trenches in each filling.

Kalyanis are a stepped well built since ancient times in Karnataka often for the use of Temples; also for the general welfare of the village. Most of these have fallen into disuse. In @gokRDPR we have taken a drive to revive these water bodies under #MGNREGA . Some examples👇

While inspecting #JJM works came across this ASI protected monument in Halashi in Khanapur taluk. This Kadamba period Ugra Narasimha & Narayana Swamy temple perhaps dates back to 6th Century but was developed over the next 500 years.

100 acres of farm forest at Shidalgatta taluk under #MGNREGA This land had Nilgiri plantation which was removed. Pre-pitting work is ongoing. 10,000 pits are done. Trench cum bunding, Farm pond, Afforestation, Vermi compost pits, roads also taken up.
