Depeche Mode is a huge influence on Linkin Park's music. Some of the songs with notable influence from the group includes Crawling, Numb, Heavy, Breaking The Habit, The Catalyst, In Pieces and Pushing Me Away. We're so saddened by the news today. Rest in peace Andy Fletcher.

While promoting A Thousand Suns, @ChesterBe said every album has a song he immediately regrets recording because of how hard it will be to perform it live. Blackout was the song. He also stated it was the hardest to write and one of the most fun to record.

Foreword was @mikeshinoda 's first attempt at Foley work. He got frustrated with a CD burner in the studio and recorded himself beating it with a baseball bat on a metal table. The resulting noises were used as an intro to Meteora.

Update: "Given Up". Mike recently told the story of how the bridge scream was recorded, which is awesome. Of course we added it. Chester originally screamed so long, it went into the chorus of the song so Mike had to rework the song around the scream.

For Meteora, @linkinpark had a whole art day where @joehahnLP , @mikeshinoda , Frank Maddocks and graffiti artist Delta spraypainted and painted gigantic walls to depict where the album was at on that particular day. The album cover is a picture of Delta.
