I spoke to people from the new lodge, oldpark, ardoyne, cliftonville & as far as the markets down here on the Shore Rd tonight. I seen politics reps from every persuasion. All of them not a care in the world where they were, who they spoke to, they only care about finding Noah!
Stop it!! stop it now with your speculation and conjecture and have some damn respect for the family of a 14 year old boy, a child, that isn’t coming home! Just stop it!!!
There's a big black cloud over Belfast tonight. Hug your children that little bit tighter. Tell them you love them. Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until its a memory.
I'm done with this sh*t. I live in the area and my kids are asking why people want to cut mummy's face. I won't be replacing them or putting any more up.
Farset: the buried river that gave
#Belfast
its name and still flows silently beneath the city. I’d love to see her unearthed the length of High Street - reconnecting the city to its rich heritage. Imagine sat by the river edge inhaling a tray bake and a cappuccino.
(Not my pic)
Pissing up alleyways, leaving rubbish at your arse and wrecking someone’s livelihood doing the “bouncy” on the roof of their fast food van until it caved in isn’t culture it’s chaos!! Do yourselves and our community a favour and visit Schomberg house before 2020
“The UUP is changing, and for the better. Julie-Anne joining the Party shows that we are building a team who want to build a union of people and who share a vision for a modern, accepting Northern Ireland." - UUP Leader Doug Beattie MC MLA

My heart hurts so much tonight reading comments on the loss of life this evening. Their life mattered. That someone could poke fun is just unfathomable. Grotesque.
Think before you tweet.
Placed an order with Fortwilliam Greengrocers at 12pm -fruit, veg and some biccies to mitigate the terrible two tantrums inside our house never mind the risks outside it - paid over the phone and it arrived on the doorstep at 1pm.

Arlene Foster says a former MLA suggested her closing speech as First Minister should be in the style of Father Ted Crilly accepting the Golden Cleric award, 'but after a moment of reflection I thought perhaps not' |
This didn’t come out of nowhere - Inflamed by polluted politics, a lack of leadership and a rapidly diminishing relationship between communities, stat agencies and reps.
The msg to these young ppl should be “get the fuck home” and to our political “leaders” - “get off your arse”!
Mums back on shift tonight after two weeks of annual leave. She left a Covid free ward and returns to one full of oxygen dependent patients. Heart is in my throat. Dreams messed up again. Panic breaking through a medicinal barrier... please help them - help us. Heed the advice.
Months ago I challenged myself to take my own advice. I asked for help in coping with postnatal stress. I’m glad I did. I walked out of the Bradbury clinic for the last time today a stronger and more resilient Julie-Anne. It is good to talk but more importantly it’s OK to talk!
@BeattieDoug
47 posters gone or vandalised Doug from 85. It's not a coincidence but a coordinated campaign by anti-democratic pricks. They're welcome to remove every one of them but they'll not take my name off the ballot.
Sorry to disappoint but there are no circumstances through which I would put the lives of my fellow citizens in the hands of a tory - not least Boris Johnson.
N0 to Direct Rule!!
If you aren’t immune, and you’re not, then neither are your parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, nieces or nephews, children or grandchildren.
Empty streets now equals less empty chairs this Christmas. Don’t be a tit! Be safe not sorry!!
I describe myself as a covenant loyalist. Unashamedly so. I may only have five foundation GCSEs to my name but I am a mother of two. As such I will take a seat round the table on any discussion about the place I call home. And where there isn’t a seat, I’ll bring my own.
I'm away back down memory lane tonight... are you even from North Belfast if you didn't fine dine in Harry's?!

WATCH: Conservative MP Mark Field shoves a protestor against a pillar then grabs her by her neck and shoves her out of the Mansion House dinner after climate change protestors interrupted the banquet.
arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I am sick, sore and tired of the polluted, poisonous and petty politics in this place. Give your heads a wobble for god sake!!! My kids and yours deserve better!!
One hell of a dark cloud hanging over North Belfast as the search continues for Noah. People from all over Belfast have united in the effort to find this young boy safe and well. Heartbreaking.
Just me and yet ANOTHER reminder of just how ridiculous it is that these trains pass through five miles of North Belfast all without stopping. All of the annoyances - none of the benefits.
Great Victoria Street is a really depressing and dilapidated sight. Plenty of majestic buildings left to rot and ruin. It’s a corridor linking our city centre to key visitor attractions that must not be overlooked when building back better.
Queue the lundy lashings but I’m bold enough to listen and brave enough to say it - this is quite the over reaction. Bilingual street signs threaten no-one and capped at 5 per month is a drop in the ocean when viewed in the context of BCCs monthly expenditure. 🤷🏻♀️
No harm Peter but Northern Ireland would be better served if parties spent less time telling the electorate what they want from them and more time asking what they want from us.!!
No working Assembly means no recurrent budget which in turn means that the delivery of the cancer, mental health and elective care strategies are under threat.
I refuse to believe that this is what people voted for!
He doesn’t know it yet but
@RealCFrampton
has taught us all a valuable lesson -knowing when to walk away is wisdom, being able to is courage and doing so with your head held high is dignity.
Best wishes to you Carl,
@XtineDorrian
and family.
Once again North Belfast watches Cavehill burn. During a season that we often see new life flourish on our hill we're instead witnessing and sadly hearing (close to mums back door) the malicious destruction of wildlife and its habitat. Depressing.
Schools ARE NOT proposing that they teach primary school kids about sex for goodness sake but that families come in all shapes & sizes - some are single parent families, some are fostered or adopted, some have a mum & dad and others two dads or as it is for my kids - two mums.
Last nights footage of a petrol bomb landing at the feet of an officer and the sound of cheering as it did has haunted me all night and the best part of today. This isn’t the answer.
My heart has skipped so many beats reading speculation online tonight. And it’s sore. Please don’t add to the chaos. Respect this family, their neighbours and wider community.
Anyone that follows me on Fbook or insta will know I post alot about my kids. Understand I never thought this possible. Growing up as a lesbian woman I always believed my sexuality prohibited me from motherhood. Alas here they are. I've never felt a love like it

Like most of you, I barely slept for thinking about Noah. Asking myself how on earth a child managed to cycle naked & unnoticed? How with the sheer amount of people that hunted this road & surrounding areas he still isn’t found? My heart aches for Noah and for his family
Received a call this morning from a regular park user in Ballysillan upset by sectarian graffiti that has recently appeared on playground equipment.
Both depressed and exasperated.
I have of course made contact with the council to have it removed.
Pissed to hear of the re-emergence of sectarian incidents in North Belfast. Made all the more depressing with the knowledge that these same two communities have united in their efforts to reduce the risk to life and mitigate the hardship felt during this pandemic.
Low-income families in Northern Ireland now need to spend up to almost half of their weekly income to afford a healthy food basket that meets basic nutritional needs, new research has revealed.

Honey coated of words of condemnation are no longer suffice. We really need to take a good look at ourselves when young people, our peace babies, are lobbing petrol bombs at police & neighbouring communities. This cycle of inherited sectarianism needs to end & it starts with us!!
Just me- with ANOTHER rant! This time about Northern Ireland’s throwaway problem.
For an island known around the world as the Emerald Isle, we need to start thinking an awful lot greener.
@AllisonMorris1
I'm embarrassed to say this Allison, but once upon a time- I would have perceived it a threat. One of my biggest regrets in the short time I had in politics was voting against it. Beneath the surface of discourse is a beautiful language that ought to be both promoted & protected.
Aggressive Unionism does nothing but agitate and alienate. We need pragmatism and positive leadership, now as this toxicity spirals and grows legs of it own.
Mentally exhausted. The sheer volume of people with whom I'm engaging that believe we don't need an executive and Unionism is in a better place without one - is, well, frankly alarming! If there is zero value in an executive- if we really don't need it - why bloody protest it?!
DUP, TUV and some UUP signing a motion to recall the Assembly in the face of NI becoming somewhat aligned with the rest of the U.K on one issue whilst simultaneously arguing the opposite on another ... CON 👏🏻SIST👏🏻ENCY
I did it!! I went in to ASDA today.. not without a hideous panic attack mind you but it’s the first time I’ve been inside my local supermarket since April.

No one could reasonably look a young loyalist in the eye & say they shouldn’t celebrate our culture given the events of recent days, facilitated by Belfast City Council and PSNI. The lockdown is over; and that’s no bad thing.
Do you know, one thing I would love to see developing out of this whole experience is the pedestrianising of our city centre with alfresco dining, street entertainment and pedi-bike tours like you’d see across Europe. Modified to mitigate our wonderful weather of course.
It can take years to earn respect but one day, one minute, one comment to lose it. My circle of inspirations, influencers and once wise counsel has grown smaller, beyond recognition, in these last twenty-four hours.

When I was a kid it was things like this - implying there was something wrong with being different - that led me down a suicidal path.
For those of us with a moral compass and degree of humanity - it's important we call this shit out for what it is - hate!
I work, I live in a two income household, in a single brick property and I can categorically tell you that I won't be able to afford this. Frightening the impact this will have on those less well off.
"This has never been experienced before"
Northern Ireland households could see gas bills increase by another 50% in December, the Utility Regulator has warned.
John French said "unprecedented" increases in international wholesale prices were to blame.
Stunning outing for SF. On the articulated attraction however -the electorate need only have looked North to see the weight of its social justice mandate. Areas they’ve dominated for decades rank amongst the most deprived (W/Belfast) & our Health crisis worsened under their watch
I despair for my children and theirs.. a handful from hundreds of messages I am receiving this afternoon for daring to challenge Féile to step up to the mark, exercise some responsiblity and help build a better society.
Surprisingly, I was really quite moved by this speech.
We have such a grotesque, dark past, a chequered present but a bright and bold future IF we cease the circus and seize the moment.
