@shadihamid
Are you kidding? People fought and died for things like the 8-hour day, the weekend, insurance coverage, and many other things you probably find boring because you take them for granted
@davidgmandel
In very many contexts, reporting abuse means it steps up and authorities join the abuser. You have to have resources and moral support to leave.
@nata_druhak
I've been trying to figure out how to get these people back. Invade RU? Or send in secret groups of people-hunters to liberate? What? It's really tragic
@mbk_center
My God, she is out already? Mazel tov! Greetings from my family in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, New York, New Jersey, Minnesota and Louisiana. Everyone in touch and everyone pulling for Ukraine, our Moscow websites are up in yellow and blue, and our original name was Бари.
@NewbieHoward
Honestly, that occurred to me too. What if some commandos got him out of MAL and took him to IL? Obviously US would have to complain. But they'd have him and I doubt we'd try to steal him back.

@ClayTravis
The stock market is not his fault, nor is the inflation. He's doing well on Ukraine. Where would you like to see more? I'd like to see more on student loans, abortion access, and the events of January 6, 2021.
@im_PULSE
He doesn't know anything about UA, what RU is doing there or what its broader plans are, and he thinks it is US role to tell UA what to do. And he gives Putin's policies the status of a natural phenomenon. This is just poor research and poor analysis.
@MichelleObama
And remember, it's not the leak that's the scandal. It's the content of the thing and the lies those 5 justices told under oath. And the conflict of interest created by Ginni Thomas' participation in J6.
@Kasparov63
I agree we should be doing more militarily but there's a way in which not saying it's a strategic goal is good. JB treats EU leaders like colleagues, not like subordinates, and he tries to make sure UA is seen as an independent actor, not someone who takes orders from US.
@OhNoSheTwitnt
@The_War_TARDIS
That's not how the other side thinks, though. Owning an AR-15 will protect them, and people with the characteristics you mention are an existential threat. Those shot in mass shootings are collateral damage at worst, but are more likely social enemies
@0liviajulianna
I'm a professor. B is a good grade. Yes, with inflation, some people now get Bs who would have gotten Cs in the past. That's not always. And even if it was that, C is a passing grade, honorable. The idea that less than A is bad is really pernicious
@melnickjeffrey1
More: the people being shocked on here have clearly never been to the South, to the Islands, to southern Los Angeles, or anywhere else interesting with bright colors. And this house has had the windows replaced with something generic, it needed to get some personality back
@nexta_tv
I am US and I am sure our nuclear weapons are better than RU ones. But the important point is that UA understands US values better than we do ourselves. They are saving us. Glory to Ukraine.
@OmarRiverosays
I wasn't that impressed with the Obama presidency, actually, in terms of policy, but it was definitely nice to have someone dignified and educated in the WH. I'd like a world where being considered a good President took more than not being a criminal, though.
@davcarretta
@Ve10Ve_Ghost
War will not keep the a/c on for long, either. Do not sacrifice Ukraine for comfort, because you will get no comfort from it.
@medeabenjamin
Is this parody? It's what it looks like at this point. You can't be an informed person and support the RU invasion and terrorism in UA, regardless of what you think of US/NATO otherwise. Please do some reading.
@Bundeskanzler
So basically, you told Putin you would support him in taking the land he has. What about giving him part of DE instead--somewhere with agriculture and industry? Then you could have gas and visit friends, and Ukraine could be whole. Deal? I think it's a deal.
@ocryane27
@TeriYork10
@latoyadjordan
Stop being obtuse. Don't you think people with student loans pay taxes? And how about all that interest? And the fact that they have college degrees and jobs, and are contributing to society? Do you do as much?
@d_foubert
These are rational arguments. Many people oppose(d) both the illegal invasion of Iraq and the illegal invasion of UA. And he's right about there being no need to fear.
@cushbomb
Not sure what you mean. I opposed the Iraq invasion, but then I oppose most US, and most other invasions. I also oppose the RU invasion of UA.
@RepMarkTakano
Retract your signature on that letter and disavow it. You undermined the Democrats just before the midterms and you gave Putin something to gloat about on tv, and put wind in the sails of Russian soldiers. Formal and public retraction now, and send THAT to the Kremlin!
@ZelenskyyUa
@POTUS
I think we (US) should be doing more. Glad we're doing this much and that we don't have Trump. Anyway, good luck to UA today, we are all thinking of you
@FrankBrenner20
@jane_in_vain
It lets it happen in lots of places, but we don't look as much. Maybe looking, this time, will get us to reconsider undertaking these kinds of actions.
@thadlab
@ProfessorIsIn
We don't even have cost of living increases, and they don't at many other US universities. Or regular raises -- or even much of a raise with a promotion. You've got to get an offer and a counter-offer, or get in very well with the administration so they give you a special chair.
@PavelVoronezh
@comanche_ak
But you don't seem normal. So far you have indicated you are filled with hostility and resentment. You hate women, and you're violent. And you're not comfortable with the situation, otherwise you would not be on Twitter getting so defensive about it
@SquizzRadical
@gerardinho9
How do you learn how to use the library (and not be spoon-fed, babied, and deprived of independence/ability to do things in the future)?
@MaggieEThornton
I've noticed "bad" is a euphemism for "Black" -- has been for the last 20 years or so at least, as in "he lives in a bad neighborhood" designating one that isn't bad at all but has large Black population
@NikaMelkozerova
@BSBonner
That is such a pre-Feb-24 position. Before I studied UA, and before RU decided to invade it all, I might have said give up small piece of land for peace. But that was then. Maybe FR can give RU Normandy now for peace, if UK does not take it. I will request Kaliningrad.
@InnaSovsun
@UN
@SergiyKyslytsya
This is wild. Everyone too blindsided to respond back then. It is like the faculty senate of my university, not responding to aggressive moves by the state or the administration when they should
@vermelhos_sim
Coca-Cola. Acho que pode usar no carro também, não lembro como mas uma vez quando tinha uns 7-8 anos o carro parou com algúm problema muito longe no campo. Não havia garagem e um campesino falou para o meu pai botar Coca-Cola, pra chegar numa cidade. Funcionou
@KyivIndependent
They do not understand that US does not speak for UA. They are 30 of 100 members of the Progressive Caucus. The other 70 did not sign. Putin, however, will enjoy this letter very much and so will Margarita Simonyan.
@KimDotcom
Ukraine war shows:
UA is more serious than EU, UN, NATO, or US
RU wants to rule the world
China watches
Multipolar order is euphemism for RU empire
WWIII, we are in it and outcome is not guaranteed
So the man of the day is apparently named Vladimir Vishenko. There are pre-war photos of him with a little son, who now an orphan, as his wife has also been killed. The kid will need support.
@cbouzy
Well, the gap will widen somewhat. I'm in Louisiana and my senators are Cassidy and Kennedy, and my representative is Clay Higgins. People vote 2-1 for candidates like that. It is truly revolting
@bopanc
My God. They'd give 'em Poland and a few other countries to stay friends with RU. I do not trust France, either. And why isn't southern Europe saying more, or am I just missing it?
@rynkrynk
@MrNathanStone
This whole thing about Soros is bugging me to death. So OK: he's got money, and he's Jewish (I just figured this out), and he gives money where he wishes. Why is this different from anyone else?
@VerstyukIvan
@BSBonner
I guess I will go. I had been saving up frequent flyer miles to finally visit my cousins in RU but after I posted all this anti Putin stuff I think RU will not let me in, so I will have to go to Kjiv instead. Surely, in any circumstance, it will be beautiful.
@Mylovanov
I keep thinking with a few good air strikes it could be over sooner. But so no, we go through slow process where DE decides who and what it really is, RU slowly disintegrates, various countries swirl around to maybe help RU or not. Ay. Estoy triste. Poor Ukraine.
@lilygrutcher
@PaulNiland
Way to go. I'm not a military or diplomacy expert but I can see it's the only way to really get them out, as opposed to stop fighting for a while while they regroup for the next onslaught.
@dogwhis65745703
@Shk0drani
@yashar
Tisk-tisk, you say. Silly, irresponsible people should obey
the mullahs, you think. I hope you don't have a real dog, dogs deserve better company
@ZelenskyyUa
@POTUS
@ZelenskyyUa
I live in Louisiana and I do not keep guns. But I could easily buy several automatic weapons tomorrow at my local store, without any licenses, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. You who need weapons should call me (I am being sarcastic, of course).
@alixabeth
Do you mean the kind of middle-class support many have, or the super-help (superstar promoting to other superstars) that only goes to a few? Nobody makes it without some support, but isn't this known?
@EFDavies
Same army, same job. The issue is that it was wildly inappropriate to bring this person to Parliament, it's destructive to Zelenskyy and UA right now, it should not have been done.
@gaynarcan
I don't know. So they don't have it through jobs, or Medicaid, or ACA. Are you saying they were denied it due to discrimination and that Federal laws did not protect them?
@NikaMelkozerova
Spanish: lluvia. But I only like rain in black-and-white samurai movies, when the samurais are at a country in drinking soup. There's a beautiful Portuguese song about rain, Chuva, by Maritza.
@marxhaunting
Here's a useful article on this, perhaps. It seems a lot of people forget that the bourgeois family is a key unit in capitalism and its reproduction
@Birder99
@charliekreuz
So they cannot have a reputable human rights organization, you are saying? Or do you mean what I think you do - that you support torture?
@sternenko
So: he is captured by RU, they have him say he looted them, they videotape him under torture and will now execute, and they are circulating this video? It's very bad press for them, or what effect do they think it will have? Did they do it to entertain themselves?
@JosephStash
RU propaganda has been very effective and before that it was CCCP propaganda. I think it's worth explaining UA when you are up to it, but I do get the fatigue
@irinikostyshina
Klitschko actually asked for blankets and generators, I thought. And I thought those campaigns were from small civilian organizations and the heavy equipment was coming from governments.
@anders_aslund
At her age, I could dance like that while also holding a professional job like that. What is these peoples' problem? My daughter is doing it now.
@Spawn_03
@AshIsHereForIt
They blend in. Tons of Canadians work in US without work visas, I am told, and I know English people who do. Some of whom are nonetheless Trumpers
