Here's a Spotify Playlist of all my instrumental guitar albums played in chronological order.
6 years distilled into 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Appreciate your likes & subs!
Enjoy! :)
There's a lot of reasons that people don't often take the time to listen to entire albums anymore.
Ear fatigue caused by over-limiting (squashing natural dynamics to pump volume) is certainly one of them:
@iWriterGirl
It wasn't even an insult - he implied she's still a pretty enough woman to be leading lady in a new movie even without hair. They could have laughed & said "great idea, get my manager!" I've lost all respect for the Smiths. Chris Rock, most definitely the stronger better man.
Listening to title track of Stevie Ray Vaughan's 1st album "Texas Flood" sent a chill down my spine, it was then I realized this guy is totally amazing and bringing something new.
What was the first SRV song you heard that convinced you he was maybe the greatest electric blues?
Concerts were AMAZING when I was a young man, and they didn't cost very much. I mean 2 or 3 seriously great bands for 8 to 12 dollars was normal ticket prices pre-Ticketmaster. You could see these heroes play all night for less than the price of today's McDonald's meal.

FACT CORRECTION:
Oil prices skyrocketed several months PRIOR to Russian invasion due to Biden's gross mishandling of previously approved US Energy Projects, costing US Taxpayers hundreds of billions.
@ThatEricAlper

Things I wish would stop, or be used more tastefully in music production:
Click track quantization & lock-step beats
Pitch correction
Over-limiting/compression robbing dynamics & headroom
Copy & Paste
Formulaic arrangements
Generic sampled sounds
Throwaway lyrics

The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Band of Gypsys was great live of course, but I always felt Mitch and Noel were a perfect rhythm section for Jimi to explore beyond the blues/funk of BOG.
There was some true magic in this trio!
Eric Clapton was right to warn people of side effects he experienced from vaccines... yet for this he was villainized.
And 4 members of my family were adversely affected - one fatally, so I'm on Erics side.
I'm on my brother Steve's side.
Big Pharma needs to be held accountable.
How I feel when I watch Eric Johnson, Pat Metheny, Scott Henderson, Al DiMeola, Steve Howe, Jeff Beck, Tommy Emmanuel, John McLaughlin, Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani, etc.
@rogerwaters
More power to ya' Roger! I see a definite trend among your detractors to try to corrode your positions with false accusations & misquotes.

Exactly!
I'd like to know what the hell happened to "My body, My Choice!".
Personal healthcare decisions on controversial so-called "vaccines" is not the governments business in any person living in a free nation.
My brother Steve died of blood clots the day he got his shot.
@WolfVanHalen
As a dad myself, I know from that look in Eddie's eye on every photo I've seen of you two over the years that you filled your dads heart with joy.
You are "the apple of his eye" you should always be very proud of that - he is clearly so pleased with you.
Godspeed, Wolfgang

@ReturnofR
Seriously? Jimmy produced new music over many decades in orders of magnitude greater than Slash! Noted studio guitarist creating innovative guitar parts for The Who, Kinks; Donovan; dozens of other English rockers before joining The Yardbirds, and forming Zep; The Firm; etc.
@h_alegry
Just wondering Where WERE you???
Where was your outrage FOR ALL WOMEN when Hamas terrorists killed and raped MANY young girls in the cowardly surprise attack on Israel's civilians last October and are probably STILL raping hostages???
@ReturnofR
YES when they got Steve Howe on guitar.
YES when they got Rick Wakeman on keyboards
RUSH when they got Neil Peart on the drums
STYX when they got Tommy Shaw on the guitar & voc.
THE POLICE when they got Andy Summers on guitar.
PINK FLOYD when they got Dave Gilmour on gtr & voc.

My wife befriended a wonderful gal by the name of Kriss Hass who was born with a very similar situation, very bright actually helped design tools that helped her to text audible messages.
Kriss moved & over time we lost touch but this video reminded me of their friendship. :)
Spotify etiquette for today: Its a nice professional courtesy if you've submitted music & someone adds it to their playlist that you do the following:
1. Thank the curator!
2. Like & listen to Spotify playlist
3. Follow Curator on Spotify
4. Share
Easy steps that help curators!
@notsosubtlenati
Who cares?
Joe is interesting, has thoughtful observations and has interesting guests - what do you bring to the table except criticism?
PS: That "disrespect" thing works both ways.
I'm going to be putting together a new playlist (or two) exclusively for ROCK GUITAR INSTRUMENTALS.
No promises for inclusion but musicians are welcome to submit up to 4 songs.
Please send your very best, thanks! :)
Asking for prayers for my mom:
She was dropped on the floor at hospital and she has a brain bleed and several broken head bones - she is no longer waking up.
They just put her on an IPAP respirator.
Please help me pray she wakes up & heals from this mess.
@BBCRadio2
@TMSBandOfficial
To me Peter was THE most essential member of Fleetwood Mac, they never captured the depth or fire of songs like "Hypnotized" afterwards. LOVE his solo stuff too!
Rest easy,. Peter!
@ReturnofR
Depends on the music style.
Metal, its UFO Rock Bottom
Hard Rock, its Zep Black Dog
Blues Rock, its Robin Trower Day Of The Eagle
Fusion Rock, its Jeff Beck Freeway Jam
Prog Rock, its YES Watcher Of The Skies
so many more...
The world is filled with great and best riffs.
This is the very last photo of Eddie Van Halen playing in his home studio 5051 before he passed.
I have no what he was tracking, but I do hope these last songs get released someday.
Are you an artist that likes to create eclectic "outside the box" songs? Today is a good day to share your talent!
Drop Spotify links here - if they are different and yet catchy and fit the general vibe of the list - they will be added to this list :)
!!! AMBIENT & SOUNDSCAPE GUITARISTS !!!
Next week I will be including a new chapter in the "Rocking The 6-String" playlist series: a playlist of ambient guitar instrumentals, now accepting up to 2 submissions per artist.
Please submit your songs in replay section. Thanks!

@StuartMaconie
Lying is a despicable trait.
It's a shame Roger Waters has had to address your deceptions today in this trend among his political detractors to try to corrode his positions with false disingenuous accusations & misquotes.
A very lowlife thing to do, Stuart.
It's the cheapest knock-about guitar I own... but darned if it's not spectacular at holding tune and recently my main songwriting guitar.
Well done, Yamaha.
No, this is no April Fools joke.
I strongly endorse "Rocking the 6-String" series as some of the best Guitar Instrumental playlists on Spotify.
ALL outstanding and innovative artists playing a diverse range of beautiful electric & acoustic guitars in various playlist-specific genres.

The best advice I ever got about crypto is:
1) "Don't watch it every day, it'll drive you nuts".
2) "Ignore the FUD".
3) "Never invest too much, HODL until you make enough to cash out what you put in".
This is from a friend who became a millionaire with crypto over 5 years.

The Republicans do want to stop the Democrats attempting to use Social Security and Medicare for illegal aliens I agree with the Republicans: this is trust money for US citizens, NOT for Democrats to buy votes.
@RockNRoLL_85
This one is not a binary choice:
Bass Playing = John Paul Jones
Keys Playing = John Paul Jones
Singing = Roger Waters
Songwriting = Roger Waters
Performing = Tie
Its sad to see the way kids are tethered to their video games like a bunch of zombies.
The world needs less kids playing video games and more kids jamming on music in their garages & basements.
Kudos to the parents that encourage music in their kids!
@itsClarkPowers
@ThatEricAlper
I remember seeing Dan in concert - I was expecting a full band (this is shortly after "Power Of Gold") and I was so disappointed as he stepped on the stage alone just him and his guitar and a grand piano...
and then he started playing, and it was the finest musicianship EVER!
@RockNRoLL_85
Cheap Trick - Robin Zander is just super on the vocals and the Bun E Carlos years had a GREAT man on the drums.
That said: As fun as Rick is, and he's certainly no slouch on guitar but Peter is IMHO a far better lead guitarist than Rick.
@teleknievel
I am a professional engineer and you are incorrect: reduction in dynamic range w/same peak level absolutely causes a continuously higher dBSPL over time, which accelerates hearing fatigue.
Low end only is not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about entire spectrum dynamics.

I still just can't believe it... ๐ช
Copping his licks since the Yardbirds.
I haven't felt this way since Stevie Ray Vaughan passed.
Some people are so good you just hope they'll be here forever, and even though Jeff was almost 80,
because of who he was,
this was just too soon.
BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to

2020 was so hard as a musician, but literally thousands of us are daily inspired to continue on because of Martina's incredible support & skillful intuitions in her wonderful playlists.
