My advice to freshman! You have four years of free mini tour golf. You are getting free strength training, free competition and free play! You will have a better experience if you think of it as turning pro. So act like and carry yourself like a true professional day 1!

Reminder - IF you want to be a world class putter, make all of your 4’ and in putts and 2 putt everything 20’ - 60’ . If you have good touch you will make enough putts from 5-20 feet. But practice til you can’t on the shorties and the long one’s. IMO everything over 15 feet

My mom turned 80 today. I wasn’t with her because of this damn virus. For most my life I walked downstairs to go to school and she was doing hair, she was doing hair when I went to bed. 5 days a week for a minimum of 15 years she worked daylight to dark. She was the first OG!

Golfers I can’t stress enough that you hit every ball and every putt in the same golf shoes! In a fairly recent study golfers delivered the putter face dramatically different when changing shoes! Get 3 or 4 pair of the exact same shoes and rotate them. #NEXT !

This would be a good time to ask the staff to leave the flags out, not paint cups and remove rakes. Play a few rounds with bunkers as real hazards and no pins. I bet you may shock yourself at how well you score playing every shot to the middle of the green or away from trouble.

Ok youngsters and discounted rate junior players. Stay off the carts, walk and play. Let older players have the carts. Regardless if your rate included a golf car. Older members/players need the car to play. It will help your game and your tournament play.

Some players can play and prepare a certain way but most players need to play and prepare the right way. The right way to play golf is usually much more conservative than most play. Birdie the par 5’s and keep the stress out of the rest!
