I think what frustrates me most these days is how ignorant many Texans are about how public schools are funded and what our financial reality is. For the record: - We do not have bargaining unions. - We do not get a pension. We pay into TRS, which is like SS.

Here's a little voucher story for those who don't understand math. The average school tax bill in Texas is about $2k. The vouchers being proposed are about $8K. Many people have more than one child in school. So yes, you are asking for a subsidy from other taxpayers.
