Just a reminder that only 22% of Manhattan residents own cars, and only 8% use their cars to commute to work. Additionally, only 4% of non-Manhattan residents commute into Manhattan via car. So the notion that congestion pricing hurts lower income commuters is absurd.

I hate to be a broken record on this, but the Dem party in NY is made up of people. I'm one of those people, but we need more. Find out who your local party officials are, and if they aren't representing your values, then run against them. Questions? DM me.

Debacle of New York's voting rights amendments is one of the utmost examples I've seen of Dem disorganization & lack of spending & attn on something Right remembers to spend on & rally. All to doom measures that have passed routinely in swing states but lost in NY. Remarkable.

5 years ago I left my job to start selling weed with some guys I grew up with. Our first year we sold $1.2M to dispensaries a pound at a time. Now we're publicly traded and we'll do $130M in 2022. Millions of jars, joints, edibles, vapes. Here's what we did:

I worked in the news business for twenty years, and I've been hesitant to pile on the media because I know a lot of those folks work very hard and try to do a good job. This is beyond the pale. Absolutely disgusting. @nytimes , you should be ashamed of yourself.

This is what the New York Times chose to publish on Independence Day just one week after the Supreme Court ruled that Republican presidents are above the law.

I am so proud to announce that our campaign for City Council has been endorsed by @jessicaramos ! Senator Ramos been a fierce advocate for progressive values in the state legislature, and a champion for the rights of all workers. I'm honored to have her support.

Wow, guess I should have expected it, but the crazy fear mongering in response to bail reform is really something. Like, y'all know people who are accused of awful crimes but can afford to post bond are released all the time, right?

Ordered my first ride tonight with @TheDriversCoop and can confirm it was great! No more expensive than any other car service, and it feels great knowing that the drivers are in control.

This is horrific. People often conflate homelessness and crime, but studies have shown that homeless people are more likely to be victims of crime and violence than non-homeless people.

Good time to call your State Senator/Assembly Member and let them know that under no circumstances should they support this.

Raising the MTA payroll tax in NYC isn't dead yet. Senate Dems expected to discuss it again today. Assembly Dems discussed it last night with mixed results, I'm told.

I have 0 patience for people who believe rent stabilization is the reason we don't build enough housing. Rent stabilization is a necessary market correction in places where there is high demand for housing. You can support more housing supply AND support tenant protections.
