The Blackening was better than I expected. The story was predictable, but it had interesting situations, and a decent amount of laughs. I'd go see a sequel.

It's noticeably prevalent in modern entertainment. I'm not mad, but I do ask 'why is this necessary' more often, these days. Oppenheimer comes to mind.
