Text messaging has been broken for a decade. OEMs and Carriers can't agree on how RCS should work. Most of the world population outside the US uses @WhatsApp and @telegram . People in the US use iMessage. Perhaps the solution is for @Apple to release iMessage for @Android ?

You will not run into deprioritization in New York City; it's in places where carriers are spectrum starved sometimes at random places like Stamford CT
