feels like the pandemic has made everyone ruder. Plenty of opportunities to disrupt incumbent industries by treating people with respect and kindness coupled with an incrementally better user experience layer
Text messaging has been broken for a decade. OEMs and Carriers can't agree on how RCS should work. Most of the world population outside the US uses
@WhatsApp
and
@telegram
. People in the US use iMessage. Perhaps the solution is for
@Apple
to release iMessage for
@Android
?
Entrepreneurs and their venture capitalists/boards have an unspoken rule: despite disagreements, everyone must work together to protect the company's value.
During a tough period with my previous board where bankruptcy loomed, It all came down to this one board meeting where
@OpenAI
boards vicious firing of
@sama
took me personally to one of my darkest periods as an entrepreneur
If I did not have board control my previous investors would have fired me in May 2019. Some terrible things were said that day.
We were at ~$10MM in ARR. Exactly
Ok, so close to 2/3rds of Twitter employees have either been laid off or resigned and let's say Twitter is still alive in the next year. What are we to make of all of this, then?

super excited for tomorrow. Launching something that we have been working for almost a year. Easily our biggest engineering project over the past 12 months...
Last year, we started dreaming about conveying our purpose in a fresh way, and today we’ve taken the first steps by rolling out our new look on our dashboard. It’s a more accurate representation of our brand, with room for epic launches ahead 😉
Commercial aviation is likely the worst industry in America in all aspects. No innovation, terrible customer service, and user experience that has incrementally gotten worse over the past two decades. 1/2

deprioritization is REALLY noticeable when it hits you but as opposed to popular belief, it's NOT always the dense areas. You will not run into deprioritization in New York City; it's in places where carriers are spectrum starved sometimes at random places like Stamford CT

The priority conversations need to be updated in the context of the cband/mid band launch that is having a significant +ve impact on congestion. for example, the attached

speed tests are from CT where I saw congestion in the past and it overnight changed 1/2

Actually it’s not a loss leader. Quiet the opposite. It’s just insane amount of work with OEM’s. They make it really hard but we will see smart watch plans in 2023 on US Mobile.
Their dependence on frequent bailouts is matched by a handful of developing nations and now they are getting in the way of likely the greatest innovation in connectivity. 2/2

We have deep and in most cases near real time visibility on usage - for example we have an internal engine that predicts what our costs with our partner networks is going to be and we are usually within 1% of the bill. 1/2

a) We have high margins and cash flow positive since last year even with our triple-digit growth and we expect to keep similar unit economics.
b)

maybe this will help you with xmobility or mobilex?

The decision was primarily predicated on things like, for the cost of those 1% users, we could give perks to most of our user base etc or bring in cheaper hotspot options and thats what we want to be able to do
@breakingdata
@stetsondoggett
We saw every user that used 1TB of data early on. We saw the users who used pdanet to circumvent our hotspot thresholds and we have insights that we would have never gotten if we had not done this. 2/3
