These are the 11 best cell phone plans for 2024.
These plans will:
• Save you $100+ per year
• Work with your current phone
• Give you the same or better coverage than you have right now
1. Best plan overall: Visible Base
@MKBHD
Apple literally made it so I can't do my job. I review prepaid cell phone carriers, so I NEED a physical SIM to swap plans between phones.
What are reviewers going to do? Convert to eSIM and then convert back to physical SIM?
This is a mess.
Of the 60 cell phone carriers in my database, just 25 of them support eSIM.
Less than half of the carriers in the US support eSIM, which is now what the iPhone 14 -only- supports.
@GioakG
@MKBHD
It would be perfect if it had the same physical dimensions but opted for an edge-to-edge display like the iPhone 11.
So basically if it were just a smaller 11 lol.
DON'T do an iPhone 15 Pro Max trade-in deal through a carrier.
It turns out going through Apple is a waaay better deal.
Why?
If you trade-in through Apple, you get instant trade-in credit (if you're a Verizon or T-Mobile customer).
This significantly reduces how much you
Working on a new video comparing cellular performance between every generation of iPhone with 5G.
Insane results so far.
iPhone 12 Pro vs 13 Pro vs 14 Pro vs 15 Pro on Verizon's 5G UW network 👀 🤯
I’ve decided the Canadian model is the iPhone 14 to get.
It’s identical to the US model, except:
• it is missing mmWave 5G bands (n258, n260, n261)
• it has LTE b11 and b21
• it has a physical SIM tray 😍
Would you sacrifice mmWave for a physical SIM tray?
Just signed up for Verizon Do More Unlimited, AT&T Unlimited Extra, Sprint Unlimited Plus, and T-Mobile Magenta Plus to put

Okay Twitter, today Apple killed physical SIM cards. eSIM is clearly the future.
My question:
When will I be able to transfer an eSIM between an iPhone and an Android phone without having to contact support?
@jon_prosser
Instead of reviewing smartphones, I review cell phone plans!
My goal is to help people reduce their cell phone bill while still getting the same coverage + features they love
A high-school student reverse-engineered iMessage, and now iMessage is available on Android with no Apple ID required!
@SnazzyLabs
has all the details in his latest video:
You can get over 50Mbps download speeds on in-flight Wi-Fi on United.
I’m impressed.
More awesome?
This was completely free thanks to T-Mobile Magenta MAX.
Saved me $8. 🙌🏻
I went to a corporate Verizon store to buy a SIM card.
I was told they couldn’t sell me one unless I activated a line of service.
So I went to BestBuy and bought one for $10 instead.
And you can get one for free at an Apple Store if you ask politely.
Whyyyy

Physical SIM with eSIM provided the ultimate flexibility.
Use eSIM your main US number. Then get a plan on a physical SIM in the country you are visiting.
Apple just killed that, but ONLY for people living in the US. International models will still have physical SIM slots.
I can confirm the new Total 5G Unlimited and Total 5G+ Unlimited plans come with unlimited priority data.
Yes, that’s QCI 8.
My new video goes live tomorrow!
Props to Verizon!
Customers on legacy 5G Play More, 5G Do More, and 5G Get More are still eligible for Verizon's best deals on iPhone 15 Pro.
This is waaay better than T-Mobile, which made its best deals exclusive to Go5G Plus.
Tomorrow US Mobile launches its new Dark Star network.
This gives US Mobile access to all 3 networks:
• Verizon (Warp 5G)
• T-Mobile (GSM 5G)
• AT&T (Dark Star)
Best part?
You can switch networks any time you want for just $2 with the Teleportal feature!

@boostmobile
is eligible for the Apple iPhone Upgrade program!
This is big news because for the first time ever you can select a $25 unlimited plan.
This is instead paying $66-$90 for plans from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
Huge win for consumers!
I think it should be a requirement that consumers are able to get their account number and port-out PIN without having to contact customer support.
My favorite implementation is Verizon where you dial
#PORT
and instantly get the info you need.
Amazing update from
@Visible
-- they have officially removed the 200 Mbps speed cap!
Users on the Visible Base plan can expect full speeds on LTE and 5G starting on March 1st!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Apple said they were removing the SIM tray to bring extra space back into the iPhone.
Space for a bigger battery, better cameras, or other hardware improvements.
But the international versions all still have the physical SIM trays.
So WHERE are the improvements we should be
Here's a look at Visible's new annual plans launching on 4/17.
Absolutely wild plan line up.
The fact you can get Visible+ for $33/mo is unreasonably good.
Boost Infinite (left) vs. AT&T Unlimited Starter (middle) vs. AT&T Unlimited Premium (right).
Even though Boost Infinite advertises the plan as having “30GB Premium Data,” the data is, in fact, deprioritized.
Just activated a new line on the new Boost Mobile, and I got native Dish coverage!
First time I’ve had native Dish coverage on an iPhone.
This is awesome. Cannot wait to test more.
It's amazing to me that you can get your Verizon transfer PIN and account number in under a minute by dialing
#PORT
on your Verizon phone.
No need to chat with support for 28 minutes!
This is how it should be 🙌🏻
Article here:
Just learned something —
Boost Mobile whitelists all App Store Data.
Even when the plan is capped at 0.5 Mbps, I’m still able to download the X (formerly Twitter) app in 5 seconds.
X is a 267.5 MB app that should take 1h 11m minutes to download at 0.5 Mbps.
I’m dead 💀
Apple literally put a piece of filler plastic in the space where the SIM tray would have been in the U.S. models.
They had space for the SIM tray. It was there.
They filled it with plastic.
I just tried to sign up for AT&T online.
You know -- become a paying customer and give AT&T over $821.88 per year.
AT&T canceled my online order (twice!) and told me to go to a store to sign up.
WHAT THE HECK
@jon_prosser
It turns out you don't get as good of a deal by going through a carrier though.
When you go through Apple, you get instant credit (equivalent to Apple's trade-in value for the phone you are trading in).
Then the rest of the credit is bill credits.
This is waaay better for
After signing up for Verizon Do More Unlimited and getting hit with a $140.06 bill ($90 service, $40 activation fee, $10 surcharges & fees), I am LOVING this no bill chill life 🤙🏻 😍

Visible is offering a crazy deal on their plans right now.
• $5 off Visible Base for 2 years
• $10 off Visible+ for 2 years
Getting Visible+ for $35/mo outrageously good.
I may have to switch to Visible it's that good.

I’m at a mall the weekend before Christmas.
It’s PACKED.
You’re probably thinking “he’s crazy.”
You know what I’m thinking?
This is the PERFECT spot to test the impact of network priority levels!
✅ AT&T will give you a free iPhone 15 Pro with trade-in
✅ T-Mobile will give you a free iPhone 15 Pro with trade-in
❌ Verizon will not give you a free iPhone 15 Pro with trade-in
🤔
It's not just you: AT&T's having major network issues right now. Company says it is "working urgently to restore service" and recommended Wi-Fi calling in the interim.
No word yet on what caused outage, exactly how widespread it is or when it'll be fixed.
TMoTester mapped a whole neighborhood using the CoverageMap Speed Test last night!
Amazing to see this!
Now everyone knows how epic T-Mobile is in that area 🔥
Today, I’m thankful for job security. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile keep their plans, prices, features, and add-ons so confusing and their websites so tricky to navigate that I will always have a job.
Thank you 🙏🏻
