My best friend's (then) 3-year old had a meltdown when her Mummy came to collect her - I'd been minding her - and she was in that state of tiredness where she didn't know what she wanted or felt, other than not to leave my house and to "stay and cry all day" with me...
I loved every minute of

@CallTheMidwife1
Only Phyllis would come back off her travels, don her uniform, not take 5 minutes to sit down and set about getting shit done ๐๐ป She's as much an anchor to Nonnarus house as Sister Julienne is โค๏ธ Stick her in number 10! We won't go far wrong with her as PM ๐๐ป

I can remember checking on Twitter during the night, to see how Rodney was doing, when he first arrived with you, Niall. He was in such a bad way, it really seemed touch and go as to whether he'd survive. What a brave little dog!

It was the empty golden carriage, with the hologram waving Queen at the Platinum Jubilee pageant, that had me on the floor laughing.
But the more you think about it, a hollow golden shell and a hologram is a good metaphore for the mess in which the UK finds itself.

I'm happily a citizen of a Republic, Kevin (Ireland), but that's a little unfair.

right now, it's a horrendous reminder of how a bunch of Tory wreckers, enabled by Johnson, sought to reward supine loyalty with political patronage - to the incalculable damage of the UK.
And Harry Cole gets paid to write this rubbish.
I look forward to his analysis of Rishi Sunak's wardrobe; not to mention the private helicopters.

I told Harry before he fell into a deep sleep about the concern rippling across Twitter for him and he said to me, "tell them, I love each of them so much."
I don't blame the expert for breaking down - that story about 4 out of 5 brothers being killed in combat during

The MAGA attack on
#TimWalz
as 'Tampon Tim' has seriously backfired; imagine thinking that ensuring girls can access sanitary products - thereby ensuring they continue to attend school - is a bad thing? They're flailing.
#PeriodPoverty
Period poverty is a real thing - students miss school because of lack of access to menstrual products. As a former teacher, Walz understands how his impacts educational outcomes, just like he knows how hunger impacts learning. This makes me an even bigger fan of Tampon Tim.
@gavinesler
The same is true in Ireland (with the arguable exception of some food lines disappearing, or appearing very randomly, on M & S shelves here; they still haven't got their deliveries sorted out).
No Brexit here either!

Two things here: For Brexiteers, there'll always be someone else to blame for why Brexit is a disaster. Now it's

An old recipe of my Mother's, it is delicious.
For 2 large apples (peeled and cored), beat 1 egg white until frothy, stir in 2 oz gr almonds and 2 1/2 oz castor sugar, pile this into the cores. Brush apples with melted butter, roll them in breadcrumbs + sugar. Bake. Devour.
