🚨 NEW: A voter tells Tory Minister Mark Spencer to “read the room” on BBC Question Time
“Your party has let us down over the past 14 years. You’re going to lose, you’re going to lose terribly, and you’re going to deserve to lose.”

While I have my 15 minutes of fame, please take a few minutes out of your day to register to vote if you haven’t already, and don’t forget to register for a postal vote if you won’t be here on July 4th.
Make your voice heard - whoever you vote for! 🗳️
Really sad about this.
After growing up getting screwed over by his policies when he was education secretary, the smile I would’ve had on my face watching him lose his seat.
Nice of him to let me down one last time 🥲
After nearly twenty years serving the wonderful people of Surrey Heath and over a decade in Cabinet across five government departments, I have today taken the decision to step down as a Member of Parliament. Read my letter here 👇

But the police is underfunded in this country, as are youth and social services. We need more investment in both. Defunding the police is an American demand where policing is overfunded and community services are underfunded.
@ukblm
Police and community services are both underfunded in the UK. The call to refund the police is an American demand where police is overfunded and community services underfunded. We need more investment in community services but that can't come at the expense of police funding.

This is exactly what every MP had to do when parliamentary recess started, and he hasn't been back since. Besides, MPs are allowed to travel between Westminster and their constituency as it's deemed essential work

The comments on here are shocking. How are people mad at someone paying tribute to one of the most brutal pieces of ethnic cleansing in history. Disgusting

He didn't have symptoms, and his wife was in Scotland, he just self isolated away from his wife when he got home. You might need to go back to school to do some reading comprehension
First ever vote in a General Election done ✅ and who better to cast my first one for than the great

Nice to play my part in the destruction of the Conservative Party :)
Would like to see this coupled with political education and economics being made part of the national curriculum if this happens.
Too many young people come out of school not being aware of these matters, and need to be able to make informed decisions when voting.
NEW:
@Keir_Starmer
confirms he does want 16-17 years to be given the vote
Tells me: “Yes, I want to see both 16 and 17-year-olds. If you can work, if you can pay tax, if you can serve in your armed forces, then you ought to be able to vote”
@Okwonga
There are teachers who racially abuse their own students, but we don't stop supporting teachers or ask for the teaching profession to be abolished or defunded as a result
Spent an hour of his time doodling in the polling booth, only for a bit of twitter clout and for the ballot paper to go right in the bin and void his vote, in turn doing sweet FA for the people of Gaza. Well done mate 👏🏽
National Service
Piers Morgan🗣️
What about the Nations service to our 18yr olds? What they’ve been through.
A Gen that lost the best years of their lives.
They can’t afford to rent.
Can’t afford food. Punitive tuition fees. Probably won’t earn more than their parents…

I know what you mean, but to be fair if you watch the full video he was asked a very loaded question which they cut in the clip, and he's been vocal about the need to address racism in society in other speeches and has done alot for this through his career.
Like ur videos btw👍🏽
So happy and moved to hear Starmer has a clear plan on knife crime, and has a real understanding of the issue.
Wasn’t sure about labour during the campaign but watching this conference is giving me so much confidence in Starmer and the government 🤞🏽
Women in audience roasts Nigel Farage.
Is the reason you’re not standing for election because the last 7 times you that you did try to stand, you didn’t get selected?
What a pity the mainstream media are so reluctant to point out that he is a serial loser.

Do you have official home office statistics to prove this?
Have you taken account for the number of injuries per protestor, considering todays rally had fewer people than last week's protest?
@john_cope
Johnson's argument was that the advice didn't ever exist, but Starmer proved it did. It was clear on the 25th Feb that there was a huge risk of CV being transmitted in the community with the measures in place at the time, the advice from PHE should've reflected that.

The mayor is the police and crime commissioner, but central government are also responsible for putting funding into policing across the nation, even in London. If you don't understand the powers of the mayor then you're unfit to be mayor.

Of course we do, but we need more police. 21,000 police have been cut in the last 10 years and crime has increased alot. This needs to be coupled with substantial reform to address institutional racism in policing and the justice system.
“If you’re Prime Minister in three weeks time, what do you fear the most?”
Quite a genuinely human response from Keir Starmer. One of the first answers that feels like it is not a ‘campaign mode’ response.

I got lucky today but know so many people who didn't and have had their plans shattered as a result. Overall, the Department for Education have handled this awfully, and the most disadvantaged young people in our country are already feeling the consequences.
This is what is so fundamentally wrong with politics right now. A woman in an awful situation tells her story on live TV, a cry for help from 2 men who could do something about it, and instead of showing empathy and offering solutions, they throw shots at each other

Really?! Wow a Brent councillor with no history here at all.
They would rather lose than have a left pro Palestine candidate
This is offensive to my community

Do you realise the whole reason they beat him up was because he was throwing missiles including flares and glass bottles at the black lives matter protestors?
BREAKING: Commissioner of the Met Police Sir Mark Rowley has been seen leaving the Cabinet Office in Westminster.
As he left, he was asked a question about two-tier policing, but Sir Mark grabbed the journalist's microphone and dropped it to the ground.
They ran our public services into the ground, and they’ll do anything to stop us from talking about the real issues.
Immigration is not a priority. This election is about the NHS, housing, education, the cost of living. The issues this country is facing aren’t due to migration.
Nice to know my MP who got elected on a labour manifesto thanks to labour campaign resources used one of her first votes of parliament to rebel against labour trying to enact the manifesto she got elected on. Too jarring.
I have been informed by the Chief Whip & the Labour Party leadership that the whip has been withdrawn from me for voting to scrap the two-child benefit cap, which would lift 330,000 children out of poverty.
I will always stand up for the most vulnerable in our society.

Somebody who was once the highest ranking prosecutor in the country, and is now running to be prime minister, cannot condone law breaking of any kind, no matter what his heart might say. That's basic stuff. His answer was the right answer.
