@hates_place
Kinda off topic but it’s crazy how Invincible is an infinitely better version of the Boys’ whole “what is superheroes were realistic” schtick. It add real stakes and danger to the story without feeling like it despises the very concept of superheroes.
I kinda hope the Spider-Man game after the Insomniac series ends is just dogshit cause Spider-Man fans really do not deserve the bangers they’re getting rn.
@Extralongdokkan
Bulma and Vegeta having kid is quite possibly the most fanfiction thing the series has ever done. Like, it’s why I roll my eyes whenever someone says that the new stuff feels like fanfiction cause it’s tame as hell compared to Bulma randomly getting with a mass murderer.
I really love the parallels between Insomniac Peter and Norman. While Norman refuses to let Harry go and destroys so many lives in the process, Peter chooses to let May die to do the right thing. While Peter blames himself for all his losses, Norman blames everyone but himself.
@Lunwi88
It’s also kinda funny that Obi Wan is so surprised at seeing Grevious pop out extra arms in RotS even though he’s canonically seen it a bunch of times by that point.
@NekoHappix
Invincible is just a traditional superhero story if the fights and violence had realistic consequences. Unlike the Boys which is a full on deconstruction of the genre.
@sheepnstein
The game is easily the best Spider-Man game in terms of gameplay. The story is worse than the first game but it’s still fine and the first game is literally one of the best Spider-Man stories ever made. Not sure I see how they “fumbled” anything.
@Vaughanilla_
Think it’s for ship names(like GhostFlower for Gwen and Miles). Which is still stupid cause Miles has nothing to do with flowers outside of liking a song called Sunflower(which isn’t even in ATSV lol).
@thevenomsite
This is just a gameplay mechanic. Literally right before this very fight begins, Venom blindsides Peter from behind while he’s actively looking around for him. Everything in the cutscenes indicates that Venom doesn’t canonically trigger spider sense.
@RedLReviews
No way bro just called it “lackluster” like it’s not the best Spidey adaptation and one of the best adaptations of any comic book character.
Insomniac has the ability to create perfect suits like classic and symbiote but they always go 4 ways:
- unnecessarily overdesigned modernised
- metal armour
- leather
- complete ass like the evolved and antivenom
Never seen a company be sauceless on purpose
@_TheSmartAlec1
Gwen should not be in 616. She didn’t originate there and, unlike Miles, E-65 and its unique setting are a big part of why her early comics were good.
@TheStanos
Maybe it’s cause I know fuck all about DC comics but I liked Hawkgirl and GL. I mean, tbf, even if I did know more, I doubt I’d dislike it more than Batman and Batgirl. That one’s the worst Timm ship by default.
@hernandy_s
I know it’s realistic but it’s kinda unsatisfying story wise imo. S3 felt like the end for Fisk’s story and set up Bullseye as the new main villain going forward. Now, Fisk is just back and it’s kinda eh. Matt supporting his campaign is interesting though.

@StormLord96
1. He never said making comic book films is harder than original films, just that it’s hard.
2. Nobody’s gonna adapt the comics 1:1 cause that’s literally impossible.
3. How is the MCU’s structure “proven to be terrible?”
@ComicsAsh
He just captures the playful but kinda arrogant attitude that Spider-Man should have. Even when the joke isn’t funny, he delivers it with such confidence that it seems funny.
@ScratchAE__
It’s a video game and these make the gameplay more fun. In the story, he’s still shown to be a relatable, broke guy so it’s not like the tech stuff is having any effect on his actual characterization or personality.
I hate clueless fucks like this who act like they have any idea how game development works. No, a single 5 minute long side mission is not the reason a lot of content was cut. That was cause of Sony’s deadlines and the overinflated budget.
When you read about how much effort insomniac put into the deaf girl mission nobody gave a shit about in spiderman 2 it just makes you even more depressed to see all the cut multiplayer, cut venom segments and cut destructible eviorments.
@GunnerDobbins
I think Dex could’ve still been redeemable if Fisk didn’t have Julie killed. Maybe she could’ve helped him. That’s what I like about the show. Nobody is all good or all bad. By S3, the only character that I’d say is pure good or evil is Fisk who corrupts everyone he comes across
@TotallyNotMark
It’s genuinely impressive how anyone can miss the point of fucking Avatar of all things this thoroughly. It’s probably the most discussed animated show on the Internet, as you said. Like, it’s really not that hard.
@Network_Synth
Writing wise? Absolutely. But O wouldn’t pin the blame on Hardy since his performance is the only thing that makes those movies even slightly entertaining . And I think he could be a good Eddie with better writing.
@AnkokuYami1
@RedLReviews
Kingpin white suit is iconic but it’s not that necessary. The PS4 game had him in a black suit the whole time and that game obviously isn’t embarrassed of the comics. There’s a bunch of other examples of non white suit Kingpin as well.
@nodrectionhome
@SP4CECOP
@Bullittindahead
The Mandarin in Shang Chi wasn’t a racist caricature at all and his existence doesn’t contradict Iron Man 3 showing an American manufactured terrorist to justify awful things. Like you’re just onto nothing here.
Lmfao, easiest shit ever.
- Pan’s characterization(directly puts GT to shame)
- Vegeta’s development
- The Broly movie
- The Moro arc
- Fused Zamasu(he’s not Goku Black)
- Freeza’s development
I could go on
@lakepostinging
Notice how whenever people complain about Insomniac gadgets, they only ever bring up the fucking gravity well. The one thing that’s not even part of the story and is a completely optional high level unlock.
