Received a distinct prompting to put down the book I was reading today and start reading Jesus the Christ instead. Oh my gosh, everyone needs to read this book. I’m so glad I listened to the Spirit. This is incredible.

Because some medical issues I have that affect pregnancy/postpartum, I likely won’t have many kids. And I feel so insecure about that. Like somehow having a smaller family makes me a weaker disciple 😞

My toddler was extremely fussy and clingy all through Church today. I missed most of the talks and Relief Society. I felt like I should just go home. But God appreciates our efforts. I know He wants us at Church, especially when it’s hard+no matter what it looks like for us 🤍

As someone who has gone through infertility, I can tell you that the best thing to do when someone is venting about their struggles to conceive is just be a good listener. Don’t try to offer solutions. Just let them grieve, even if it’s uncomfortable.

@Papa_Ostler Of course. My most sacred experience taking the sacrament was at 37 weeks pregnant, sitting in the hallway trying not to faint. I was still blessed to take the sacrament. Jesus was there. He came to me exactly where I was and recognized my efforts ❤️

Unfortunately your kids can very much tell when you don’t want to be around them and it alters their personality and affects their future relationships. Emotional connection to their parents is a basic need that gets placed behind parents’ wants.
