I 100% agree. Early liquidity event is a feature. Freedom to use your funds is a feature. Vesting is 99% upcoming sell pressure as all of them could also market buy. They do not. Don't make the few richer but optimize for growing it together w/ long-term aligned stakeholders.

Lockups are pointless. They create unnecessary overhangs & fears, create time-based selling pressure instead of merit-based buying, & require unnecessary discounts. W/out lockups, free markets entice early investors to sell sooner, allowing more investors to benefit from upside

@dextfprotocol started out as index fund platform and added a marketplace for structured products. They recently updated the reward program towards long-term incentivization of stakeholders. IMO they nailed tokenomics & have great product-market fit with the structured products

Ethereum is going to be the center and settlement layer of digital economic activity. Is there a counter argument? Web 3 is needed & seems inevitable. Bitcoin is settling for digital gold. Other blockchains hardly attempt building the DeFi & Web 3 stack or scaling solutions..

If you want DeFi specific regulations, I‘d encourage top DeFi projects to get involved there. But do not add additional career bureaucrats as friction increasing middlemen.

Polkadot, Cosmos, Near have been laser-focused on the most likely future: The future is on-chain & asynchronous. 1B+ users will use 1000+ apps. An overall async web will include a smaller number (10ish?) of composable, synchronous (sub-)hubs, for example DeFi hubs.

@zmanian I see double digit selling pressure. The first to sell the reward locks in a profit. I don't know/understand yet why the cosmos ecosystem doubled down on high APYs w/out revenues during a bear market. obv there is a long (3,3) bias in crypto but timing is important too.

@mhonkasalo So many Eth folks seem to have completely forgotten that Ethereum should be secure & accessible. Each day there are 10 guys posting Eth burn pics - due to 0 adoption but bad blockspace allocation among zero sum games. Nobody is onboarded but everyone getting rich? Circle jerk.

Collective NFT creation could be a breakout app for crypto. In this example, a DEGEN themed collection is created by Farcaster users writing a short text & tagging a profile which automatically uses AI to create an image and tips $degen to participants 🎩✌🏽

Times change 🔵🔴🟣🎩 Polkadot & Cosmos talked for years about tech differentiation that enables diff use cases but moved to all-in-one platforms. Eth went from all-in-one to enabler & the superchain teams target diff niches effectively on same infra & support each other well.

Quite a few DeFi projects helped other DeFi projects valuations grow by accumulating tokens through farming, (locking) and not selling. Some also engaged in "partnership token swaps" or buybacks of own tokens. 99% paying the price now. Maybe not all DAOs should play hedge funds.

$degen is engrained in Farcaster. If FC does well, $degen should do too. To accelerate the process @degentokenbase helps Farcaster get adopted & onboards Degens from outside. Big plays for @base already in motion with l3, Aerodrome.. Next: Target Users/Investors (incl Twitter)

@Fiskantes Imo it‘s more a sign of the bubble you are in: ETH + investors The Dotsama bubble doesn’t interfere much with the Eth bubble, same applies to Near, Tezos etc. - even though they are a lot smaller. Avalanche & Solana investors had a bigger overlap &or targeted Eth peeps more.

It’s a sign of a bull/crypto market that few projects follow a long-minded token launch. @degentokenbase $degen launched out of a Farcaster channel rewarding active Degens and doubles down on builders, creators, collectors & the community is growing stronger (despite price).

@gnosisPM @koeppelmann Interesting - as I think Gnosis has built amazing stuff and needs some goal. I could see Gnosis chain as a focused rollup solution to Ethereum but don't really see value in building out the generalistic xdai sidechain as proposed. *not a holder currently
