I get the point being made but completely disagree with it, Valorant goes WAY too far in the complete other direction, there's actually less strategic shifts and less meta shift because teams aren't playing enough matches, you don't need a full week to prepare for a VAL match

If VCT had many more games in a season there would be less time for teams to prep between games. This might mean less strategically deep matches, less changes to comps, and possibly meta would shift too slowly after patches because experimenting would be a larger risk to take.

You can evolve your gameplan enough in a day or 2, NBA/MLB teams do it all the time NFL teams don't have a week between games because they need a week to prepare strategically, they have a week because players would literally start dropping dead on the field otherwise
