Overshadowed by all of last night's craziness was the fact that Jade Carey now has enough road scores to make the individual rankings. She is currently at #1 in the all around, #5 on vault, #1 on bars, #15 on beam, and #2 on floor.

This doesn’t bother me in the slightest, lol. If elite gymnastics started going down the NCAA route of awarding 10s for routines with errors I’d quit watching. To do that for the sake of “marketing” is lazy and threatens the integrity of the sport.

The play-ins are nice in theory but have been poorly executed (holding them during the workday, including their gymnasts as indiv qualifiers, including teams ranked outside 29-36). If they can't get them right then please just scrap them and cut the regionals field to the top 32.

Gymnastics should look at March Madness and recognize that one of the reasons why viewership numbers are so high is because they taper the game start times to minimize overlap!
