@useGolfFACTS @PGAChampionship @PGA @TigerWoods What's telling about a PGA professional doing his job and sharing hospitality and knowledge with a guest, like he and 29,000 PGA pros do every day? Showing respect for a fellow pro and and humbly asking a host politely for help seems like a formula for continued success.

@AmandaGolf59 Poor take. Many of the great courses in the UK encourage common use of the land, and in fact walkers often have the right of way..Attitudes like that give golf a bad name. Live and let live- especially if the walkers are observing proper awareness and ettiquette.

@LukeKerrDineen Seems to me, the Tiger of 1994-2001 was far better than the Tiger of 1993."Butch Harmon was hired by Earl Woods in 1993 to help take a 17-year-old Tiger to the next level. The following year, Woods won his first of three straight U.S. Amateur Championships." Does GP count Butch?

Every architect and green chairman on earth should be required to play this hole 18 times with their wife, father and a touring pro, then write an essay on what they learned. Sadly, the few that don't need to would be the only ones to do it(or already have)

The 3rd at Royal Adelaide might be the best hazardless short par-4 I’ve ever played. Designed by Alister MacKenzie, this drivable hole plays 292yds from a blind tee to a mounded fairway that drops to a long green protected by low berm. Chipping over the berm is fun and dangerous.

@chambleebrandel Brandell "The Sky is falling" are your words. The answer to the issue for the past 100ish years has been to increase course length.1896 US Open at 4423 yards vs 7643 by 2008. 73%! I guess you're ok with 13220 yards for the 2120 US Open-those who do not learn from history...

@LinksGems Jon, your photo from 1990 depicts how 16 loooked when I worked there. Not disputing the current work, but wonder how on earth Rees thought what he did in 1993 was better than the version below. Jim Hand had tears in his eyes when he showed me that debacle.

You can have Pinehurst. I'll take a surf town with a golf course. Raglan-great land, firm fairways, quirk, huge tilt and slope-barely pinnable due to slick smooth greens. Walked off 18 straight back to #1 . #5 (pic 1)perhaps the most thought-provoking hole I played in 26 rounds.

Food for thought. I find it quite ironic that the last 20 years in Golf Course Architecture have focused on "Restoration", while the players, superintendants, teachers and manufacturers have focused on innovation. They were destined to clash at some point.

@zephyrmelton Disagree. A caddie who's known you for 36 hours isn't guaranteed to make the right call. You could lay up, then hit it in the water-no guarantee off that downhill lie. If she executes, she avoids that potential issue. I'd say her dad's steered her OK to this point.

@B_Maloy_ Amazing all the soft responses. There were plenty of 200-230 par 3s from the member tees before the six sets of tees police took over. It's OK for a pro to hit a long iron and an amateur to hit a driver on a par 3-all as part of a varied distance mix of one shotters.

After a 4:40 AM wakeup call, a more relaxed and perfect final evening round @StonehavenGC . Great value with unmatched scenery.

Wow. Great video. Stunning and the course couldn't have been more than a month open when this was taken.(not dormant yet) Amazing light highlighting amazing work.

@thetop100golfer Two of the best courses in the world, but you missed Muirfield's lunch and foursomes in the afternoon. IMHO,some of the best 36 hole days combine a heavyweight with a nearby compact local gem.Shinny/Southampton, Palmetto/Aiken GC,Royal Aberdeen/Murcar,Machrihanish/Dunaverty
