Seriously?
A liberal administration pays liberal groups to register and turn out voters in particular, liberal demographic groups. And it's all being done in secret.
But according to AP, there’s nothing to see here.
🚨Wow:
Vice President Kamala Harris says the federal government will now pay college students to register voters in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.
This is one step away from the Biden administration outright paying people to vote for them.
Congratulations to Texas! Gov. Abbott just signed SB1, a new law to improve and enhance voter confidence and election integrity.
Expect to hear cries of “voter suppression!”
Not so fast.
"Voter ID laws are immensely popular..."
@TedCruz
is right.
In fact, our recent polling data found that 81% of voters SUPPORT the idea of requiring every voter to show a photo ID to cast a ballot.
🚨🚨🚨
We sent a mobile billboard and digital ads to the
@MLB
winter meetings in San Diego calling on them to APOLOGIZE for lying about Georgia’s election integrity law.
Defending election integrity starts by accepting the fact that voter fraud happens.
It doesn’t take millions of illegal votes for election fraud to become a problem; in close elections, even a small handful will do.
This is a perfect example of why absentee voting needs more safeguards.
Voter ID for mail-in ballots and applications is a reform designed to make this type of fraud more difficult to pull off.
Kudos to Arizona!
“The Arizona Senate passed a bill that would require voters that want to submit late mail-in ballots to also present an ID at their polling place or at the County Recorder’s Office.
As you hear about Georgia's record turnout and easy voting, remember that the entire purpose of Georgia's voting law was making it ‘easy to vote and hard to cheat.’
And we're seeing that in real time.
For the average voter, free and fair elections come down to three things:
✅Every Lawful voter must have the right to cast a ballot
✅Every lawful ballot must be properly counted
✅Every reasonable step to protect against voter fraud
A new bombshell report exposes the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence for what it really is: A dark money-fueled scheme to push liberal voting policies and influence elections.
Quick reminder: The new GA voting law plainly says that election *officials* can hand out water. The issue is whether groups should be able to pester voters in line.
That's called electioneering, and it's illegal in
@chuckschumer
's NY, too.
For all lecturing by Democrats about "systematic assaults" on our democracy, they're completely fine with Stacey Abrams telling anybody who will listen that she's actually the Gov of GA.
Despite the pesky fact that she lost by 54,723 votes.
Stacey Abrams: "I come from a state where I was not entitled to become the governor, but as an American citizen and a citizen of Georgia, I'm going to fight for every person who has the right to vote to be able to cast that vote."
Once again, the Left’s leading anti-democracy attorney
@marceelias
is in court trying to change the rules of voting in the middle of an election for partisan advantage.
No surprise that the left is gaslighting everyone about why reporting is so slow in Pennsylvania. PA’s laws are antiquated and its Democratic governor vetoed reforms that would have modernized and improved elections in Pennsylvania!
Liar liar pants on fire! RITE won the suit. The case was mooted because Philadelphia provided the exact relief sought in the case just an hour or two before the hearing.
The U.S. House is about to consider H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. They just finished rewriting it to make it “constitutional” and “bipartisan.” Is it? Let’s take a look.
🧵THREAD 1/?🧵
Terry McAuliffe, who maintains the 2000 presidential election was stolen, is bringing in sanctioned Democrat attorney Marc Elias to help his sinking campaign undermine election integrity in the final days.
When
@MLB
moved the All Star Game, it cost Atlanta $100M.
But despite MLB lies, Georgia’s November election was a grand slam.
Here’s what the MLB is seeing today 👇
Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn says on Cavuto that "no Democrat has ever been against voter ID."
Meanwhile, HR 1 would eliminate voter ID in 35 states.
Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss shouldn’t be influencing our election system, nor should liberal, dark money-fueled, groups with close ties to
@ArabellaAdvisor
.
“Forsyth and Brunswick Counties in North Carolina are no longer members of a left-wing dark money group seeking to influence local election operations.”
SB1 makes *voting easier and cheating harder.*
Opponents claim it throws up impenetrable barriers to the ballot box, but shy away from talking about specifics. Now you see why: this bill is just too reasonable and popular to attack on its merits.
Nobody should be able to manipulate the democratic process for partisan gain, which is why nearly half the states have banned private funding for elections.
Hey,
@staceyabrams
. Saw you support New Jersey's election reform. Great!
New Jersey's law only offers 9 days of early voting.
The Georgia law you oppose guarantees *at least* 17 days. That's 8 more days of voting access for Georgians.
Just FYI!
This week,
@ElonMusk
pointed out the problems with Mark Zuckerberg's $400+ million donation to
@HelloCTCL
and
@ElectionInnov
– left-wing dark money groups which poured cash into election admin offices across the country.
SB1 bans vote trafficking “for compensation.”
Letting paid operatives collect ballots without supervision exposes voters to intimidation, coercion, and disenfranchisement. Banning that is just one more commonsense provision!
Governor Stitt should sign the bill banning ranked-choice voting.
Ranked-choice voting would bring chaos to Oklahoma elections and disenfranchise Oklahomans.
CTCL’s ZuckBucks 1.0 was a turnout operation meant to help the Left all along.
It’s pretty obvious that they’re trying to do the exact same thing with ZuckBucks 2.0.
SB1 also brings voter ID to absentee ballots.
Voters just need to write a Driver’s License or *free* state ID number, or the last four of their social on their ballot.
Expired licenses can be used too. Problems can be cured 6 days after an election.
This report should make clear that a private funding ban, vigorous oversight, and complete transparency from officials are essential to restoring trust in our election system and making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.
The left is outraged that SB1 bans 24 hour voting & limits drive-thru voting to those who can't safely enter a poll. But only 1 county adopted these unusual COVID procedures
SB1 simply creates uniform statewide rules. Is the left seriously demanding voting in the dead of night?
Just to clear things up, voter ID laws are not voting “restrictions” and don’t stop anyone from casting a ballot—no matter what you read on the internet.
At the end of the day, SB 215 is about banning foreign funding of ballot initiatives from billionaires like Hansjörg Wyss who seek to influence American elections.
"Are we against foreign money in elections or not?" -
@Rob_McColley
The bill creates uniform and expansive windows for early voting.
6am until 10pm on weekdays. On Sundays, it's 9am to 10pm—and the bill mandates 6 hours, up from 5.
The argument has gone from:
Private funding from CTCL for election administration offices was only meant to help the elections run smoothly.
To:
CTCL poured money into Democratic strongholds to boost turnout and that’s a good thing.
A Georgia county has accepted a $2 million grant for election operations from a Big Tech-aligned organization, despite a state law prohibiting local election offices from taking private money.
So much for the left’s “Jim Crow” argument!
“Not only is the overall early voter turnout higher than ever before, but the early vote among minorities is higher than ever before.”
Congratulations to the amazing team over at
@Heritage
for launching their Election Integrity Scorecard.
This will prove to be a crucial tool in raising public awareness about how well or poorly states are administering their elections.
▪︎ Bans 24-hour and drive-thru voting
▪︎ New vote-by-mail ID mandates
▪︎ Bans officials from mailing unsolicited mail-in ballot applications
▪︎ Empowers poll watchers
▪︎ New requirements for assisting voters
▪︎ Monthly voter roll checks
CTCL is continuing their effort to pour private, left-wing dark money into election offices to influence election administration.
You can read more about their newest $80 million initiative here:
Marc Elias challenged Florida's election integrity law. Yesterday he lost big in the 11th Circuit.
Today, he lost in the North Carolina Supreme Court after trying to get Democrats on the Court to redraw legislative maps to advantage Democrats.
🧵
In fact, voters should have to wait for fraud to impact them *repeatedly* before courts can take the public interest in secure elections seriously. How many people wait to be robbed 2 or 3 times before locking their doors?
4/
It should be easy to vote, but hard to cheat. S.1 doesn’t just ignore the basic need for ballot security, it undermines it—risking voter trust and confidence. That doesn’t strengthen democracy, it weakens it.
HR4 starts by trying to make it easier for left-wing groups to sue states and use courts to get rid of basic, commonplace, and popular voting safeguards that strengthen voter confidence in elections and stop fraud.
2/
After losing her gubernatorial election, Stacey Abrams repeatedly refused to admit defeat, claiming on multiple occasions that she actually won the race.
Progressive activists say that ID laws and ballot trafficking bans are discriminatory. Americans say otherwise. 77% favor voter ID, *including* huge majorities of Black, Hispanic, and even Democratic voters.
Remember when this line of thought resulted in you being labeled as a threat to our democracy? It turns out if you're a member of the Left, you're allowed to question election results.
Yesterday we at
@honestelections
ran a full-page print ad in the
@ajc
calling on
@CocaCola
to apologize for lying about Georgia’s election integrity law.
After making it easier to vote and harder to cheat, Georgia just had one of its most successful elections in history.
In the last two days, Stacey Abrams has said Georgia sucks and threw cold water on the record-breaking early voting turnout because it undermines her voter suppression claims – helluva campaign strategy.
Progressives ignore all that. They are pushing a narrative to justify ending overwhelmingly popular voting safeguards that inspire trust in our elections for their own political gain.
12/12
S.1 is filled with unpopular provisions that put our elections at risk. It gets rid of voter ID measures nationwide, forces unrestricted vote trafficking into every community, and undoes basic safeguards that protect our ballots.
Don’t take my word for it. HR4’s authors *put it in the bill*: courts should consider preserving voter confidence and preventing fraud to be essentially irrelevant concerns when deciding whether to overturn a challenged law.
3/
In fact, merely having a voter ID law can be treated as evidence by courts that state laws are discriminatory. Overall, HR4 makes it easier than ever for progressive activists to use lawsuits to manipulate voting laws, right up to Election Day!
10/
Just like HR1, HR4 targets voter ID laws—I thought the left supported ID laws now?—and invalidates them nationwide. Sen. Manchin proposed using utility bills if you don’t have (free) photo ID, but even that fails this test. Democracy alert: 81% of Americans favor photo ID.
9/
Much of HR4 is aimed at overturning the Brnovich and Purcell decisions in the Supreme Court, but the heart of the bill is about preclearance. HR4 creates a process to put states under federal control by counting so-called voting rights “violations” going back to 1996!
5/
Another leader of the Democratic Party following in
@POTUS
’s footsteps by questioning the legitimacy of the next election unless Congress pushes through highly partisan legislation to rewrite voting laws.
.
@WhipClyburn
today on
@NewDay
@CNN
Kasie: "You concerned that without these voting rights bills the election results won’t be legitimate?”
Clyburn: “I’m absolutely concerned about that."
What’s a violation? Not objective evidence like minority turnout, because high turnout doesn’t fit the narrative! HR4’s metric is litigation, and the bar is so low that merely getting sued all but guarantees a “violation” that puts you closer to federal control.
6/
These laws don’t depress turnout or block anyone from voting. 35 states have ID laws in effect. Even then, 94% of voters told Pew they thought it was “easy” or “very easy” to vote last November. 17 million more people cast a ballot in 2020 than 2016.
And a single lawsuit can count as multiple violations—making it that much easier for partisan lawyers to target states for political reasons, cancel their voting safeguards, and put them under federal control.
8/
Settlements & consent decrees count as violations, too. Frivolous cases are settled all the time to save taxpayers’ money. Worse, partisan officials have collusively settled suits from liberal groups so they could rewrite voting laws. It's undemocratic but HR4 encourages it.
7/
S.1 also forces states to make huge changes to voting laws, and imposes unreasonable, unworkable deadlines. It’s a recipe for chaos that will turn future elections into a repeat of the chaotic pandemic primaries of last year.
Let’s remember: Congress created preclearance in 1965 to deal with true Jim Crow discrimination. But those laws are gone. Elections set turnout and diversity records! That’s partly why the Supreme Court ended preclearance in 2013—it didn’t reflect decades of progress.
11/
Arguing that simple efforts to make it “easier to vote and harder to cheat,” based on popular election safeguards, is tantamount to “Jim Crow in the 21st Century” is as historically inaccurate as it is outrageous.
“Jim Crow in the 21st century is now a sinister combination of voter suppression and election subversion,” Biden says at the 10th anniversary of the dedication of the MLK Memorial. “They’re targeting not just voters of color…but every voter who doesn’t vote the way they want”
I’ve requested that
@Georgia_AG
,
@GaSecofState
, and the State Election Board investigate the DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections for violating Georgia’s ban on outside election funding.
The president of the United States just used the bully pulpit to explicitly discredit American elections.
Can we expect some outrage from the “save democracy” crowd? I hope so.
"I think it would easily be illegitimate," Biden says when asked to clarify his view on whether election could be viewed as illegitimate
"The increase in the prospect of being illegitimate is in proportion to not being able to get these reforms passed."
