Probably been said to death but, Aaron Hickey. Wow. Not many 16 year olds could start a final, keep Scotland's player of the year that quiet, and show such a level of composure and quality on the ball. A big future could await.
A chippy in my hometown is selling this 'crunch box' for a TENNER and if you don't think it looks like the most appetizing thing ever then there's no hope for you.
Don't think I've ever seen anything like this. Like the grievance of being ignored and taken for granted has been simmering for years and finally erupted. An uprising.
Tomorrow the EEN joins forces with the Aberdeen .

to demand a fair deal for fans after the SPFL's decision to hold both Hearts' and Aberdeen's

semis at Hampden on the same day. Here’s a sneak peek at the front pages.

Robbie Neilson confirms John Souttar, Cammy Devlin and Michael Smith are back in full training and will be in the Hearts squad to face Celtic tomorrow.
Bit of paperwork to be completed but Garang Kuol to Hearts is all agreed and will go through this week. Talks to sign James Hill on loan til the end of the season are very advanced. Yutaro Oda arriving in Edinburgh and completing his transfer in the next 48 hours
@STVSport
Hearts unspeakably lucky not to take a solid defeat at home to Ross County. Where's that team going? Listless, aimless, toothless. A remarkably poor performance.
I am full of admiration for
@dothebartman1
, a guy who came up here fairly late in his career and has grown into a role model and an eloquent, powerful campaigner against the scourge of racism. Scottish football is lucky to have him.
A small memory of Marius Zaliukas, but an enduring one nonetheless. It was the captain's press call ahead of the 2012 Scottish Cup final and Zaliukas and James McPake were photographed in full kit with the trophy on the Grassmarket. Interviews after were in a hotel nearby. 1/4
Hearts have made an enquiry to Newcastle United over a loan for Australia international forward Garang Kuol. No decision made on where he'll play the rest of the season yet, but Eddie Howe wants him playing regularly. More on

You too often see football fans get a kicking on here, and in general society. In my opinion the £1000 and counting raised for Rape Crisis Scotland by Raith Rovers fans today speaks volumes about the reality of supporters.
I’ve created a fundraising page for Rape Crisis Scotland in response to the David Goodwillie news.
Any donations and RTs massively appreciated.

Thank you!

Merry Christmas everyone. Immensely proud of Edinburgh's football clubs
@HibsOfficial
and
@JamTarts
throwing open their doors to the city's loneliest and vulnerable today. Swells the heart. Love to you all.
So in the past 24 hours we've had Leeann Dempster looking to employ covert stewards and sniffer dogs, and Ann Budge has closed a section of her stadium. Both clubs have committed to spend £100,000 on state-of-the-art CCTV. Strong leadership at Hibs and Hearts on fan troubles.
Dear God, no. Hearts have done a deal with Sky for limited edition shirts 'sponsored' by Waystar RoyCo after (fictional) Roman Roy bought the team in (the fictional) series 2 of (fictional) Succession
Truly shocking news breaking during this match. Hearts cup winning captain Marius Zaliukas has died, aged 36. Confirmed here by the Lithuania Football Federation
It's a shame to read so many sniffy remarks about Alex Marshall today. Yeah, he's not in athletic shape and he plays a working class sport. Doesn't change his fantastic achievement.
Such a hard thing to write. No exaggeration - Doddie Weir is the reason I got into rugby. Around 1993 Doddie helped coach this schools touch session and I barely left his side. Just a wee afternoon in his incredible life, but it never left me.
This is a weird one cos I stood in Hampden and watched Hearts clap Celtic up to get their medals (as the Celtic players did for Hearts) and they applauded when Scott Brown lifted the cup from the plinth. They headed inside before the confetti cannon stuff.
Festive matches, derbies...big games that fans look forward to all year. For some people who live away it could be their only chance to see their team in 2021. This is a huge decision to make, both socially and in sporting terms.
I only knew him in a limited capacity but his sense of fun shone even when he was doing his utmost to shut down our pesky questions. He has passed away at the same age I am, and also with a young family. It's an unimaginable tragedy and all my thoughts are with his loved ones.
The years and years that Andy Murray has given us of *that* sort of drama at Wimbledon. We've been spoiled by this man. You have to savour these sorts of nights.
Biased, naturally, but would've been nice to see more of Bob MacIntyre beating a reigning major champion in his first ever Ryder Cup singles imo.
2.5 out of 3, unbeaten in his rookie appearance. Outstanding

We told Rudi's story last year and I was heartbroken to learn he passed away recently.
To all attending Tynecastle on Friday night, an applause on 8 minutes is being planned in his memory.
Aberdeen's
@DavidOjabo
is heading for the NFL Draft and current predictions have him going in the first round. This guy is on track to be one of the highest profile Scots in world sport.
Falkirk not holding back 😬
"Once again progress has been hampered by the short sightedness and self-preservation of a small cabal within Scotland’s top division"
Celtic v Hearts a really enjoyable game to watch. Celtic played some brilliant high tempo stuff in the first half. Hearts dug in and played very well after half time. They were unlucky not to get a draw. Kyogo is offside for the goal. Not a vintage night for the officials.
Having reported on every cough and spit of administration through to the CVA, it can actually be hard just to take a step back and appreciate just what an incredible achievement today is. Brilliant, emotional video to sum up the last decade at Hearts.
@lauriedunsire
I made myself read it all and my heart simply aches for you and Gail. But Laurie, you should be so proud of the man, the partner and the father you are. You honour Lewis with your words and your memories and nothing can ever diminish that. Sending you every ounce of love.
Started working at STV News ten years ago today, on a local online beat in Lanarkshire. Been some hard and tremendously rewarding work through great times and tough spells to get here. Here's to plenty more of the good times to come.
Lovely scenes at Oriam this morning as the Scotland players walked over to training past all the kids there for early coaching sessions. Smiles, cheers and photos galore.
Hibs have agreed a deal with Dundee United for midfielder Dylan Levitt. The Wales international is close to being confirmed as Lee Johnson's sixth summer signing
@STVSport
You could tell he was never a huge fan of doing pre-match press. He gamefully played along for about 5 minutes then without warning stood up, told us "I have to go, I have a chicken in the oven" and, still in full kit, strode out the room. 3/4
Journalist in Costa Rica who broke this story reports that verbal agreements are in place between Hearts and club and player. Sources at Hearts have confirmed discussions. Vargas to Tynecastle looks a go-er.
I thought Hearts would turn up tonight but surprised at how far off them Hibs were. Feel Stendel has found the balance now. Hearts still press and harry but have added some pragmatism. They still need another 5 league wins to stay up imo.
Big Dunc sticking to his word after my brother got the results he needed in school and took him out for food. Made sure that I got invited to and not one of his mates 🤣🤣 🔵
They can be...but how often? A once a year big performance cannot take Scotland forward. These are Wales and Ireland teams in transition but both managed to grind out wins at Murrayfield.
Barrie McKay the difference at Tynecastle, two sublime assists for Ginnelly in a game that threatened to get bogged down with long balls. Hearts eight points clear in third place.
Neilson says he's made his pitch to Kuol and hopes it's enough to persuade him to join. Aussies teammates at Hearts could be an advantage. But cautions there's a lot of competition for the loan deal so it's "wait and see".
Brighton defender Odel Offiah is at Tynecastle ahead of tonight's match v Rosenborg. Hearts have been in talks over a loan deal. I'll be live coming up on the STV News at Six.
For Rudi.
I painted my nails today to remember Rudi Abbot who passed away recently aged just eight. There's an applause in the eighth minute of tonight's match for him.

Earlier this month Hearts turned down two bids from an English Championship side for John Souttar. The bids came nowhere near their valuation and they're hopeful he will sign a new deal. Still business to be done in and out at Tynecastle though, Souttar apart.
Kevin Nisbet has turned down the move to Millwall and is returning to stay at Easter Road. He went down today for talks but has had a change of heart. Huge boost for Lee Johnson and Hibs.
Kevin Nisbet is down at Millwall to thrash out personal terms on his £2.3m transfer. He and Ryan Porteous (Watford) are likely to go before tomorrow's Hibs v Aberdeen match. Lee Johnson didn't sound hopeful of having replacements signed for Saturday; expect plenty of U18s.
