The whole concept of liminal spaces appeared in my lifetime. It's been strange to see how just giving a name to a vibe gradually builds it into something meaningful. There are so many vibes out there, still unnamed, waiting to be 'grown' into psychic coherence in this way.

I think he's depressed that life doesn't have harder difficulty modes, so he has to make contrived quests like "climb Kilimanjaro" or "get $400M" or "become a bestselling children's author" or "defeat death" to feel anything, but they're still too easy. But also, sure, insane.

@zephyr_on_call Apparently it's hard to turn on lights in dreams because the brain can't improvise a lot of sudden visual feedback convincingly. So dreams sidestep the issue. Maybe a similar issue with turning on devices. I've had many dreams of being inside video games, but not playing them.
