My new ID Buzz arrived today. I’m delighted with the colour choice. Massive disparity in the insurance quotes. Over £900 from the folk who insure my 600LT and 718 Spyder but @DirectLine quoted £352 and secured my business. Xmas Eve handover planned.

My #astunday contribution. I switched from the McLaren to the 911 Turbo due to corrosion problems. It was a mistake, the Porsche was fast but bland. It wasn’t a super car. I spent months looking for a special car I would lust after, sound great, make every mile special. #vantage

I don’t need another car but a friend who runs a BMW dealership offered me a cancelled order June build slot for the new M2, which I’ve taken. Specced it in Brooklyn grey with the black wheels and some nice extras. It’s not pretty but it’ll be fun.

I’ve spent months deliberating on which colour my new Spyder should be. Porsche have added Shark Blue to the Configurator. Job done. No carbon buckets this time as they are too upright. I prefer the 600LT Senna seats for comfort over them. Looks like 2022 before I’ll see it.

My new M2 dwarfs my 718 Spyder. More running in trips planned for the weekend but first impressions are decent, engine/gearbox combo great but steering lacks any feel. I dislike the fat steering wheel, Porsche gets these them right every time.

What a car, what a location. The roads and views of the Highlands are simply awesome. Unfortunately the roads were packed with caravans and motorhomes today being a bank holiday weekend so I returned home after 247 miles with an average consumption of 30.8 MPG. Not bad for 600 PS

I’m a petrolhead. Forget the anti electric car stuff, a Taycan is bloody amazing regardless of its power plant. IONITY chargers giving 4kW a minute is fab although home charging is even better. I own and appreciate petrol cars, but some electric cars are damn good.
