6. DAO this, DAO that. It's become a meme.
There are high levels of skepticism around the "decentralized" and "autonomous" nature of DAOs, and rightly so. The number of telegram chats calling themselves a DAO is at an all-time high.
Opportunistic, but feels net-negative.
9. Crypto's a talent magnet. The brightest young builders gravitated to

And the consistent takeaway here was community builds conviction. Even if you think this will all go to zero, the intellect and talent alone is exciting.

7. Money is flying, and everybody's starting a fund.
Many said this was the year where there were more VCs than devs. Not the best signal.
The builder energy is still here, but the noise is extremely loud. Dev talent needs to grow if we want crypto to move forward.
Are NFTs a serious source of long-term project revenue? Seems like there may be more incentive for the average project to mint for quick cash instead of building a long-term roadmap...

1. Infrastructure's still the focus of this cycle. dApps are reverting to the protocol layer, and the base chain war is raging onwards.
It's not just "2021 Infra" like
@twobitidiot
shows. As in past infra runs, we still have a few years here...
Strategy 2: Sprinter's luck
Identify the right opportunity, and go all in.
Here you need to:
1. Create optionality
2. Run as fast as you can when the time's right
Sprint when you're inspired. Rest. And then repeat.
Here's how
@naval
puts it
"Work like a lion, not a cow."
We need to work in short, creative, powerful bursts. Like a lion hunting. Not in a slow, tedious, monotonous pace like a cow chewing cud.
"the success of the system hinged on its acceptance as a system, a network of people as well as machines, a revolution in behaviour as well as in instrumental capability" - Stafford Beer, 1973, on Chile's Cybernetics-led digitization experiment
1. Supporting cross-chain experiences.
If the future is the metaverse, it's not going to be using 2-3 different siloed wallets.
How can we build a seamless UX for interacting across multiple chains, protocols, and platforms?

@zoink
Through voting as a community to acquire, preserve, & celebrate what we define as the most significant cultural works, we shape the future by saving the past.
Strategy 1: Marathoner's luck
Persist long enough to get lucky.
The idea here is to:
1. Maximize your time in the game
2. Maximize your internet fingerprints
Keep showing up day after day with quality content.
An example from
@hey_bernie
Balancing our full-time job and content creation is hard.
Still, in ~7weeks I tweeted for 35 days straight:
~1.380 tweets
27 tweets/day avg.

21 by engaging
And got:
+834 followers
~700k impressions
~3.700 profile clicks
Here are 12 strategies on how to do it 🧵👇
Spotify announced earnings today, bragging that it now has 433 million users. But it's still losing $15 million per week, and margins are getting worse, not better.
The ugly truth is that the streaming business model still hasn't proven its financial viability after 15 years.
Strategy 3: Blacksmith's luck
Forge your own success.
The rules here are:
1. Do the same thing over and over
2. Turn small wins into big wins
Cold email people you admire. Help out permissionlessly. Repeat.
