@SiaranBolaLive Brian Tevreden, who scouts Dutch players with Surinamese roots, said that Riedewald has declined to play for Suriname and might strongly consider Indonesia. I really would have wanted him for Suriname, since the last wong jawa that played for the team was Bruce Diporedjo in 2017.

Note that we won't see all of these recruits in action come June. But this is defo more open by the FA showing which players are in the process. Suriname should begin to form a good core and it starts with Saint Vincent and Anguilla.

@ConcacafID Everyone loves football in 🇸🇷, including the Javanese and there are a lot of players outside of Paramaribo. But the Suriname FA mostly scouts in the capital. Known players in the Pro league today are Franklin Singodikromo and Dejean Kamsi, but there are more in the districts

In this interview Tevreden also states that the Suriname FA is going to introduce new kits for Natio, but can't say how soon they'll be presented. Tevreden is also open to a friendly against Indonesia as opposed to one against Curaçao for commercial reasons Min56:40-60:15

Van Dijk was already open to play for Suriname in 2013 and players like Jeremain Lens, Urby Emanuelson and plenty of others all wanted to play for Suriname.
