'That was a decent time you know.' My dad's response when reminding him this evening that in 1977, Jerry Kiernan ran 7:56 for 3,000m in London, breaking his Irish record of 8:02, which he set in Santry in 1966. Jerry had great respect in this family, and will be sadly missed. RIP
