Covid has completely changed my life. On Christmas Day I tested positive for covid. Today I was diagnosed with PoTS.
Last year I was running half marathons and working out 3-4 times a week. Now I can barely stand for more than 10 minutes. 🧵
7+ months since I tested positive for covid & I’m still going to hospital every other week. Covid infections are on the rise again at the moment, stay safe, you don’t want to go through what I’ve been through. There isn’t much help for this & people are quick to leave you behind.
Unfortunately I was too busy setting up the Quiz yesterday to be on the Secret Santa stream, but just wanted to say thanks for the super thoughtful gift!
😅 It turns out buying a flat and moving is expensive, so I'm now on fiverr making music! Hit me up if you need music for your YouTube video / Twitch stream / anything! (RTs appreciated!)
I've not posted about it yet, but I had the pleasure of working on the
@plateupgame
soundtrack a couple of months ago! 🎉 It's been great to see everyone enjoying the game and the positive response it has received!
Just finished my last shift in the office before Christmas! Jingle Jam is always hectic, and it simply wouldn't happen without the guys behind the scenes going the extra mile - TJ,

Decided that Jingle Jam wasn't enough work already and I'm going to try and put out some new music every day this month, no promises it won't instantly fall apart though!

is finally done for me! (Go watch the mods stream!) Now time to take a long rest... until 5pm tomorrow when normal streams resume... That’s cool, I love watching Factorio.
Last week I tried going for a little walk on my lunch break. The next day I was so fatigued that it set off my other long covid symptom, vertigo. I had to spend the next 48 hours in bed vomiting with the room spinning waiting for it to pass.
Before I caught covid I never had any issues with my heart or with dizziness. I didn’t have a pre-existing condition, I wasn’t high risk. This could happen to anyone, and covid hasn’t gone anywhere.
It’s been a horrible start to the year and it’s the start of a long ongoing journey learning how to manage my health going forward, but I’m hoping I can get everything under control soon and learn to live with PoTS.
For people who are saying you should just let people play whatever games they want, they are being awfully vocal about a tool that lets people see what they've played... See also:
It’s also upsetting the number of people who are aware of the situation and have stayed silent and not reached out to offer any kind words or support in a time where it would be really appreciated.
Today marks my 10 year anniversary of working at
@yogscast
! I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved and the work I’ve accomplished in that time! Here’s to bright things in the future! 🎉
My fiancé
@hoggsofwar
has been incredible this year. I don’t know how I would have managed without her. We had to spend Christmas apart and isolated from each other all the way through to the New Year, fortunately by being cautious she has managed to avoid catching covid so far.
I had to make incredibly difficult decisions at work to prioritise my health, which ultimately meant I was unable to continue working in a job role I really loved, and resulted in a lot of difficult changes for myself.
I had made changes in all areas of my life to minimise my chances of catching covid, which makes it all the more frustrating that I was unfortunate to catch it and to have suffered so badly as a result of it.
She took 3 weeks holiday from work at the start of the year to care for me full time and has been there to support me every step of the way. She has stood up to the people trying to minimise my situation, always argued my side and is always looking out for me.
