Really looking forward to the French match this weekend. My first cap for
@IrishRugby
was against France and although we lost it had a special memory

Met the great Ollie Campbell with my son James at a rugby blitz. Maybe the greatest player ever to play for Ireland! Certainly one of the nicest!
@OldBelvedereRFC
@BCRFC
Well done to
@IRFURugby
on a great victory against Wales! Equalling the all-time Six Nations record of 11 consecutive wins 🏉 and so lovely to be down at the Aviva with

Congratulations to

@tcddublin
for your hard work on the count - tough days to do it. Thank you.
I’m about to head to London for the
#ENGvIRE
match tomorrow!
I’ve been a strong and trusted voice on British-Irish relations - this has never been more important at this critical time and I want to continue to build relationship across these islands in the Seanad

Very disappointing for Leinster. Absolute highlight of day was meeting again the inspirational former Scottish player Doddie Weir who is dealing with his Motor Neurone disease by raising funds for its treatment. Not a negative word all day . True hero
@MNDoddie5
Look who myself and James bumped into! Great to catch up with
@bernardjackman
and Peter Stringer outside the Aviva ahead of the match today.

So proud of my wife Jennifer who ran a great campaign but more importantly really cares . She will be a great public representative after many years working for various government Ministers on issues that really impact people’s lives.
Thank you so much to the people of Killiney Shankill for your support and for voting me in as a new councillor. I am so looking forward to working for you in this brilliant community where
@hugo_macneill
grew up and our little man will grow up.
I am so proud of my brilliant wife

running for Killiney Shankill in

. Jen has spent her career working to protect the vulnerable in our society, children’s rights, family rights, youth justice & more. She would be an ace public rep - tell everyone you know.
As we remember the passing of the great Anthony Foley today…. Anthony Foley built something special through harnessing the qualities and values of people at their very best.

Today marks the start of my Seanad Bye-Election campaign.
My priorities are:
🟩 Improving access to Higher Education for people with Intellectual Disabilities
🟩 Improving post-Brexit relations
🟩 Helping Irish Business navigate the post-covid economy

Disappointed to see Trinity lose the big rugby game against Lansdowne but good to catch up with my former

On behalf of the British Irish Association we offer our condolences to the family of James Brokenshire the former Northern Ireland Secretary. In our encounters with him he was always a thoroughly kind and decent man. May he rest in peace.
I always thought the great thing about Irish sport is that you could celebrate both the victory of an Irish rugby team - doing what very few teams have done- and a Kerry football team. They are not exclusive
Funny how Irish Rugby made a documentary about winning a friendly against the worst New Zealand team in 30 years.
There's lads in Kerry with 2 or 3 All-Irelands that wouldnt make the parish newsletter.
In order protect the health & well-being of count staff in
@tcddublin
, I will not go to the count this week. Thanks to all the staff for making the count happen in such extraordinary circumstances. I wish them all well. I also wish all fellow candidates best of luck & good health
If elected to the Seanad, my priorities are
🔹 To help transform the lives of people with intellectual disabilities
🔹To use my experience to be a strong voice for business
🔹To help repair British-Irish relations

Garry Ringrose is an outstanding rugby player and absolute gentleman. I’m delighted to have his support ahead of the Trinity College Seanad Bye-election!
Trevor has spent most of his life trying to build relations and creating a better Northern Ireland for all - and I mean all-of its people. A great teammate and an inspiring friend.
It’s not about religion or geography. It’s about respect & mutual understanding. Together. Through rugby so far & in other ways too. We must all take our one small step to celebrate our differences in our shared island. Well done

Great to meet Eoin Morgan at the cricket. World Cup winner. Captain of England. Fantastic ambassador for Ireland. Great guy.Fascinating on how sport can bring diverse groups together as in the team he leads so well. Really understands these dynamics on our island.

Many thanks to Trinity and Ireland legend

Vote Number 1 today for my wonderful wife Jennifer. A true public servant, with huge ability and commitment - she would be a TD we could be very be proud of in Dún Laoghaire.
Vote number 1 today from James and I !
Thank you to everyone for being so kind and engaged these past few weeks. And thank you so much to all my friends and family for helping me every day. Democracy is fantastic and it’s a privilege to participate.
Transforming the lives of young people with Intellectual Disabilities-the massive potential of a model that works . Making a ‘Republic of Opportunity’ a reality for many of our most vulnerable citizens and their families.
Huge congrats to

It was a great honour to play for my country & to have played a leadership role over the past four decades
I’m now determined to serve my country to the best of my abilities in the Seanad working for Trinity & Ireland
For almost 40 years I’ve been a strong and trusted voice on North-South relations and British-Irish relations - this has never been more important at this critical time and I want to continue to build relationship across these islands in the Seanad.
Hugo is 100% partitionist,anti border poll and uses every platform to discredit the campaign for Irish Unity.
Please vote for someone who cares about the unity and future of our country and not this vehement anti-unity candidate for Seanad.
I want to use the platform of the Seanad to be a voice for people with intellectual disabilities. I’ve seen first hand how the TCPID can radically improve the lives of young people through education. Let’s work together to expand access to programmes like this nationwide.
We need to do more for our young people with Intellectual Disabilities. Only 84 people with ID were recorded in 3rd level out of 57,872 with ID in day service .Minister
@mitchelloconnor

Congratulations and thanks to

highlights we can help so many of our fellow citizens with Intellectual Disabilities by giving them real option of university education. We have seen a model in Trinity

that really works. It can be taken across the country!
From

So very very disappointing to still see such homophobic comments today. My uncle Patrick felt he had to leave this island for London sixty years ago with his partner Charles. Thankfully they feel they would not have to today.
We supporters of
@leinsterrugby
looked over the precipice tonight for a number of moments that nearly pulled us over the edge. It would have had a sense of depression that pulled us mentally back to the New Zealand match in the Rugby World Cup. Thankfully we avoided it. 🙏😂🙏

This is a difficult time for everyone & a strange time to be having an election
This election matters-we will need a strong, experienced Oireachtas to deal with the social & economic fallout of this terrible virus
I am asking for your support to be a trusted voice in the Seanad
The TCPID has helped empower countless students, like Mei Lin, to access third level education and continue on to secure meaningful and rewarding jobs.
I’m so proud of our students and team for all the work they do in improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities
‘As a person with an intellectual disability I am aware that when we dream big and when others dream big for us, we can achieve our potential. Having a job makes me feel accepted and included as a fully-fledged adult in society.’ – Mei Lin Yap, TCPID Graduate

Only 6% of people with intellectual disabilities are in full time employment. We can do so much better, we can be more inclusive. People with disabilities half as likely to be employed, report says
