My good friend and mentor, Tom Kurvers, has passed away and gone to Heaven. He took me under his wing when I was 17 and becoming a college and pro prospect. A class act and great guy! Heartbreaking and terribly sad day. Gone way too soon! Thinking of his wife & kids & family. 🙏🏻

Seems like the performances of the @GoldenKnights players is a strong argument for how often 2nd, 3rd, 4th line, and aging players, are overlooked/under appreciated. Sometimes all a player (or anyone) needs is ice time/a chance to play more.

A personal health update: 2 weeks ago today, I had a single mastectomy. Definitely not part of the original plan, but sometimes the plan changes and you gotta pivot like Ross Geller. I finally got clear margins and I am now breast cancer free! No further treatment needed 🙌🙏

In 1995 while playing for New Jersey, Neal Broten got traded to us. We were going to lunch & he had these in the cupholder. If you want to be good on faceoffs and strong on pucks, you might want to try it. He’d use them while driving and switch hands.

@BirkMatt protesting the police is one thing, jumping onto a police car with its siren on and clearly leaving the area is completely different. Don’t jump onto police cars and you won’t fly off them. It’s not complicated.
