Unbelievably sad and tragic news about Adam Johnson’s injury. Johnson was a 2013 graduate of Hibbing High School and played at the a University of Minnesota Duluth. He played 13 games in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins and was in his first season with Nottingham. He was 29.

In front of a pro-Bulldog crowd of 18,303 in St. Paul, @UMDMensHockey captured its second national title, edging Notre Dame 2-1. The Bulldogs got goals from Minnesotans Karson Kuhlman and Jared Thomas to claim the NCAA title after first winning it all 7 years ago on the same ice.
