Rather than scrapping the whole idea of policy based on racial identity, this initiative adds white working-class boys to the roster of racial victimhood. Though racial problems undoubtedly exist, class divisions are the real faultlines of British society.

Scotland's #assistedsuicide bill says terminal illness is "an advanced and progressive disease, illness or condition from which they are unable to recover and that can reasonably be expected to cause their premature death." So defined, it includes Type 1 diabetes.
