The biggest problem with the DSA is that most of the members live in cities so distant from Republican power that their lives don’t remotely resemble the average American’s. They think they can win rural Americans by moving Democrats left, but they don’t know rural America.

@evancholerton It leads to purges. A faction can whip up a conspiracy that a rival faction is really just an “outside org trying to infiltrate” and expel dozens of members over it. It’s what happened in Atlanta a few years back and I don’t think the Atlanta chapter is better for it
