Im glad your dad is well.
I know you need a good hook.
Slamming doctors doesn’t help you or anyone else in terms of the problems we face in the world.
Your doctor didn’t tell your dad to eat garbage all day and get into the state he was in.
Again - super glad he is well.
@ElieJarrougeMD
I’ve seen so many people in the healthy Mediterranean village - extremely well balanced diet no sugar.
Lots of gout.
But all functional alcoholics essentially.
I’ve dominated my own illness and helped over 70,000 people over the last 10 years.

@ElieJarrougeMD
Sugar.
They know its addictive. So it’s added to products.
Make them colourful too.
Unfortunately people are actually willing to pay higher prices for sugary foods and drinks.
@storeycopy
Probably 50% of that list was taught in school. Just depends on how far the individual wants to apply it.
But 50% ain’t good enough for sure.
Learn to eat
Learn to sleep
Learn to journal
Learn to exercise
Learn to not stress
Learn to be intentional
Learn to have relationships
Learn to put the phone down

This is fine. But why define it with a label. If you feel a certain way you can feel a certain way.
Labels can become crutches. And to younglings and those going through puberty - this can be muddy water.
You are not unmotivated.
You most likely—
•Lack quality sleep
•Have a nutrient deficiency
•Are overwhelmed by stress
•Need more physical activity
Start with managing stress and watch your energy soar.
Your gut is your second brain. Take care of it.
When the gut isn’t healthy, neither is the rest of you.
Here’s how I help my gut:
- Exercise
- Sleep well
- Eat healthy fats
- Eat whole foods
- Fermented foods
- No artificial sugars
- Stress management
- Poop once every 12-24h
@LoriShemek
A few healthy things I do:
- sleep well
- reduce fructose
- stress management
- consume enough fiber
All can chill out inflammation and are so so easy to do.
@Gabepluguez
You for real?
Just take it on the chin man.
You stated he listened to his doctor for 3 decades and got diddly squat - in fact for heart disease and cancer, then he listened his son and lost weight and cured cancer.
Then proceed to list things doctors never told him.
Cmon
@realpeteyb123
You didn’t simply ask that question. You asked it and then proceeded to panic about all of our phones and called out big tech brands 😂.
Cmon just call it what it is.
Have a good sleep.
The purpose of a healthy lifestyle is not to avoid illness.
The purpose of a healthy lifestyle is to:
- Empower you
- Increase your longevity
- Boost your energy levels
- Enhance your quality of life
- Improve your mental health
Spark a behavioural change within you.

He is a true goat of tennis.
Although he was a bit funny at the time with his travels between serbia/aus/monaco/spain if i am not mistaken.

Doctor: ‘Hey maybe it’s the smoking, diet, alcohol, exercise - let’s address it’
Patient: ‘Cool, but what are you going to give me right now to help?’
We all know that this is what it’s like 85% of the time.
@realpeteyb123
You’re 45 and had no symptoms with no family history.
You definitely did not need a colonoscopy. There’s no particular harm in getting one, but you didn’t ‘need’ it.
You may as well get a full body MRI scan then as well.
Not trying to cramp your parade, just raising the

Interesting overall.
Fiber is big one. I think we all need it.
Oatmeal I feel should get more props.
What do the carnivores say about all this?
Getting healthy boosts more than your own life:
1. It makes you a better parent.
2. It makes you advance your career.
3. It makes you a better person socially.
What I’m saying is that it:
1. Makes you have more time.
2. Makes you have more energy.
3. Makes you have more money.
@RemnantMd
My parents live in the Med - barely go to the store. Just eat fish and cabbage all day as well as fruit from neighbours.
They are old. I worry for them.
But they just don't show any signs of decline. It's wild. They are crushing it to be honest.
I found a health secret.
1. Go to the store
2. Buy 1 kettlebell
3. Youtube ‘how to kettlebell swing’
4. Do 50 kettlebell swings (doesn’t have to be in one go)
5. Do it again
Every day.
Consistently.
That’s how you change your life.

Hidden costs of excess screen time:
1. Eye strain and vision problems
2. Musculoskeletal issues
3. Mental health impact
Reduce the screen time.
It’s as simple as that.
I make a list of all the things that take up my time in a week.
I circle the things that are most important to me.
The things that I didn't circle - can I cut them out without unbalancing my life.
If yes then I do that.
This has given me a lot more time that I didn't have.
@BowTiedGatorDDS
1. What are your thoughts on waterpiks?
2. What are your thoughts on someone with great teeth/gums, but has a persistent whiteish biofilm that isn’t fungal or sinister?
No Screen Time = Better Sleep
No Screen Time = Improved Focus
No Screen Time = Reduced Eye Strain
No Screen Time = Enhanced Creativity
No Screen Time = More Physical Activity
No Screen Time = No Tactile Hallucinations
Limit screen use for a healthier lifestyle!
In case no one told you, if you:
Have a job and enjoy it
Have relationships with family/friends
Have a nice sleep schedule 7-9h a night
Have a decent diet and aren’t overweight.
You're doing better than 90%.
@Outdoctrination
1. We do not know the reason UC is reduced in smokers.
2. Don’t smoke
3. In vitro study
4. One study funded by big smoke.
Point is there is a correlation. But it’s unclear.
People try and follow every health trend.
- Energy levels go low
- Diet is inconsistent
- Stressed a lot.
It‘s not until you learn to be CONSISTENT with your health habits…
Only then will you see improvement in your health.
@ElieJarrougeMD
Elimination, psychological.
It's all good. But at some point the majority will need a balanced diet.
We know the bad guys - ultraprocessed foods etc. No point bickering which fad diet is better or worse though - they all claim the same thing.
What we worry about:
- Cancer
- Diabetes
- Dementia
- Heart disease
What we actually should worry about:
- Managing stress
- Prioritizing quality sleep
- Avoiding ultra processed foods
- Engaging in consistent movement
@ElieJarrougeMD
I don’t know if it’s just the X crowd. But not a single one of my colleagues thinks that way.
Help the patient above all, be it with a crutch or a lifestyle change.
@FitFounder
Obviously.
They are a business. Out for profit.
It’s entirely up to you if you want to eat it or not.
Never understood the hate towards them. Could they be less snakeish in their marketing and overall demeanour - yes.
Is it up you at the end of the day - yes.
@brownecfm
Condolences.
Frailty is something that is not spoken about enough - in the old or the young.
And a lot of people are on the way to it prematurely with obesity, medication, poor lifestyles overall.
@BStulberg
He said ‘one of’.
Which it is.
Sleep
Diet
Exercise
Movement
Stress
These are the pillars of a healthy and fulfilled life.
Don’t get the weird takes about this sorry man.
@ElieJarrougeMD
It’s insanity.
All the diets claim the same outcome too - resolution of ailments.
Focus on the entire package
- diet
- sleep
- stress
- exercise
- relationships
Then you will feel better.
Stop blaming others for your problems.
Elevate your health with small, intentional shifts:
- Prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods over processed options.
- Move your body daily, even if it’s just for 10mins.
- 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night.
- Practice mindfulness to reduce stress and increase focus.
-
3 healthy morning things:
- Drink a glass of water.
- Try to go outside for some sun.
- Write a few thoughts in a journal.
Hopefully you did all this before looking at your phone.
Replace excuses with action.
Replace screen time with sleep.
Replace self-doubt with self-care. Replace stress with mindful journaling.
Replace procrastination with consistency.
Replace ultra-processed garbage with meaningful food.
Your life will be filled with vitality and
