Today marks 7 years since I had my heart surgery. I was born with Atrial septal defect, in more simple terms: a hole in my heart. I don’t talk about this much online, because I’m okay. It was a very scary time in my life, and I’m very grateful that it was caught when I was young.

They caught it when I was 11, which is INSANE because I had multiple tests done that should have found it before. But, I am very grateful that they found it when I was young. With Atrial septal defect, I had a very high chance of a heart attack in my 30s-40s if gone unfixed.
